Start by telling your partner you have no expectations and they don't have to say yes for you. Then ask what you want to do, like "Can I kiss you?" Use open questions like "What do you want?" instead of demands, so they can say what they actually feel.

How can I be fully sure that my partner is not feeling pressure when I ask to say yes because they don't want to disappoint me? You're with a partner, you say to them, hey, before I ask you this question, I want you to know whether you say yes or no, I have no expectations. And I don't want you to feel like you have to say yes for me. Please only say what you feel and want in this situation. Now, they're going to be wondering, what's the question? That's good because they're sort of anticipating now, right? And you go, can I kiss you? And they're like, oh. Yeah, right, it might be lesser, or they could be like, oh, I'm not so sure. But it allows the safety net of you've said, I don't expect a yes, because you're right, a lot of people are saying yes to stuff they don't want to do. They don't want to disappoint the person, right? So it makes a huge difference. Also, instead of asking, will you do this to me, ask, what do you want? What do you want allows them to open up before you start asking for what you want. Creates a safer space for that.
