Most men aren't the predatory jerks that TV, movies, and porn portray. The speaker argues that entertainment pushes a false narrative, when in reality the majority of men want to do the right thing and have good hearts.
Kids want to do the right thing. Look, if we walk in thinking that guys are all just evil, or that they're so hormonal they can't control themselves, why are we having this conversation? It sounds like none of them have a good heart, want to be a good person. And, and by the way, men get highly offended by this because it implies we're all the jerk. Now, are there jerks in the room? Yes, there are. And we address how to stop the jerks. That's one of the things we taught in today's program. But they're not the norm. They tend to be the exception. And they tend to show themselves, is what happens. Most people want to do the right thing. The problem is what you see in TV, movie, Hollywood, and porn is the exact example of the male that you're referring to. And that makes it look like that's most guys out there. That's who they believe they are. But when you sit a guy down, he's like, I don't want to be that guy. I don't want to be that stereotype. I want to do the right thing. Thank you.
