When you meet someone different from you, get curious instead of judging. Ask why they do things the way they do. Pick words that don't leave anyone out.

Somebody in this room could say something that makes you think, how could they say that? I wonder how they could say that. Lead with curiosity over judgment. We live in a world that tells you to judge everything right away and take a side. I want you to lead with curiosity to understand each other. Curiosity means I wonder why. Judgment means, oh, I am assuming why you're doing it. Might not even be the right reason. I might be wrong, but I'm going to assume. I'm going to treat you differently based on my assumption. Curiosity says, I don't know why you're doing that, I want to find out. Huge, huge difference. I also want us to be inclusive. That means we're going to use language that doesn't keep people out of the conversation, that doesn't leave groups or identities out of the conversation. So that's what we mean when we say be inclusive.
