How many of you have ever heard somebody say, you gotta earn my respect? If you've heard that, say, heard it. Heard it. That is a horrendous and cruel belief system. You don't earn someone's respect. You get it because you're a human being. You'll earn my admiration. That's true. You'll earn my trust. True. But respect I give you because we're fellow human beings. So if every human being deserves respect, no matter who that person is, I don't need to know them. I know that I'm going to intervene because they're worth it.
