When someone drunk tries to hook up with you, say "I would love for this to happen. Just not tonight." It shows interest without giving them an excuse to argue, and if they still want it when sober, you know it's real.
Mike, what if I'm the sober one at the party, the person I'm attracted to is the drunk one, and they're all over me and they want to make out or they want to do these things with me? Let's be honest. What do most high schoolers do in that moment if they're the sober one? Do they stop it or go with it? What do you think most do? Go with it. They go with it. Some of you are going, Mike, what would be a way to stop it? Because if I tell them they're too drunk, they're going to say, no, I'm not. And you're right. That's exactly what's going to happen. So you don't. You just look them in the eyes and go, I would love for this to happen. Just not tonight. Notice I'm not giving them an excuse. I don't need to. If I give them an excuse, they're going to argue. Just not tonight. And by the way, if they don't ever want to do this with me again, I just learned this was the alcohol that night. If they're still pursuing me 2 days, 3 days later, and we're sober and we both want this, I know it wasn't the alcohol and I did the right thing by waiting.
