Misty Tripoli presents a short motivational monologue arguing that "being a boss bitch" is not negative but a positive, empowering stance. She defines it as standing up for yourself, setting clear boundaries, and taking responsibility for your inner life and happiness, and issues repeated calls to action to own one’s life ("groove my life", "putting them big girl panties on").

Something I say in my videos a lot is being a boss bitch. And some people might think that's aggressive or harsh. But you know what? It's some truth that being a boss bitch is a powerful thing. And sometimes as women we actually have to be a bitch. Like, and I don't think it's negative, I think it's powerful and positive because it's about standing up for yourself. It's about setting clear boundaries. It's about taking responsibility for your life. And that means taking responsibility for your happiness and how you feel inside and what's going on in your inner world. That's being a boss bitch. And the byproduct of it is living a fucking epic life. Because it's on your terms, your way. I also like to say groove in my life. That's what I do. I groove my life. And that means I do it my way, on my terms, the way I want it to be and create the life that I want. Yeah, that's grooving your life your way, baby, your way. And there's nothing better than that. And no one's gonna do it for you. That's just some hard real in your face truth. That when you wake up to the fact that no one's coming, no one's coming to rescue you, no one's gonna take it away from you, no one's gonna do it for you. You gotta do it for yourself. You gotta be a boss bitch. Be a fuckin boss bitch of your life. That means putting them big girl panties on. Yep. And owning your shit and taking charge. That's right. Like it's your full time job. Be a boss bitch. You'll see.
