Bulimia just left me. This bulimia that had plagued my life, that stole my life, made my life toxic in every way, just disappeared. It like disappeared because I realized I was starting to fall in love with me. I was starting to take care of me. I was starting to be gentle to myself, I was starting to be kind to myself. I was starting to just move my body in ways that felt good. And because of that, literally this thing with food, like, I'd be more attracted to healthy food. And I didn't want to gorge, I didn't want to feel that yucky feeling again, because I realized whatever it is that I couldn't fill, I was filling that with my own love. And that bucket was being filled with me and appreciating me and taking care of me. And that's how Groove was born. And now it's turned into a program that has helped tens and thousands, tens of thousands of women all around the world with the same. And another thing that was really powerful is that it was when I started to talk about my eating disorder and I was blown away, that I was looking in the mirror everywhere I went, and that I saw that pain and struggle in every single woman that I met and the struggle with their body and trying to get fit, and the frustration and the confusion and the self hatred. And how many women would raise when I said, you know, that I had. And I'd ask them at the end, how many of you might have disordered eating? 90% of the women would raise their hand when I would lead a workshop of thousands of women. And what I mean by that, by disordered eating, is anything that makes you have an ugly relationship with food, whether it's obsessively counting calories, not eating, starving yourself, whether it's binging and purging, whether it's any kind of over obsession with what you're putting in your mouth every day. Because it steals your life, it steals your soul, it steals your spirit, it steals who and what you're supposed to be on this planet. And I think that we are supposed to shine, and we're supposed to shine authentically and beautifully. And thank God I turned to dance and I turned to the thing that made me happy and made me feel good. Because doing that, and the more I did it, the more authentic I became, the more I started to shine and the better and better I felt. And it's been awesome to witness that amongst women all around the world experience exactly what I got to experience through the magic of simply getting your groove on. So if you might be struggling with the same thing or if in any way, shape or form, you struggle with your body and accepting who you are. This is where I'm going to invite you to join me. To join me in a beautiful program and on the journey to loving yourself and learning that it is possible.
