Misty Tripoli talks about taking full responsibility for her life, doing inner work, and building a dance business on her own terms. She built a dream home in Mexico and turned her passion into a global venture by refusing to follow someone else's path.
What I've created for myself. When I took charge of my life, when I decided that there was no one coming to rescue me. And I stopped relying on other people for my happiness and I stopped thinking that someone else was going to figure it out for me. And I actually did the inner work and got punched in the face and woke up and started to stand on my own two big girl feet and took charge of my life and trusted what the divine calling that was coming through me and my creativity and my deep internal knowing of what I'm supposed.
To do in this world.
And dancing and that I get to fucking dance for a living. And I have been able to turn my love of dance into a very successful global business. And I get to dance my way on my terms every single day. I don't have to follow anyone, copy anyone. It's called being a boss bitch of your life. And it's possible, but the most important.
Relationship that you have, that I have is with myself. And that's the most important relationship to honor and respect and to listen to. I'm living in the jungle of Mexico by myself.
Built an amazing dream home. I built it to my specifications for my age to make sure that I get to enjoy every moment of my life on my terms. The way that I define it, and I call that grooving my life. And if you're interested in learning how to groove your life, this is what I'd love to share with you. It's not about doing anything my way. And this is when you actually start to discover it is when you start trying to do something like someone else. The most important thing is whatever's going to connect you to yourself. Your own authenticity, your own creativity, your own dreams. That's all it is. And it has nothing to do with my way. It's about you discovering your way. And trust me, the answers are all inside of you. And guess what? It's your responsibility. Ain't no one's coming, no one's gonna do it for you. It's that simple. You either do it or you don't.
What I did is I just leaped.
I fucking just jump.
Because I wasn't gonna live one more day in a life that didn't serve me, that didn't make me feel good, that wasn't what I was born to do.
And someone else telling me what to do. Like, hell no. Hell no. Owning your time, your life. It doesn't mean it's easy. It doesn't mean it's easy. But it's so worth it. And you don't know if you don't try.
And you will kick your motherfucking ass.
When you get older that you didn't.
