Mollie Amkraut Mueller shows how to ask ChatGPT to write better ChatGPT prompts. She walks through generating fake meeting transcripts for testing: describe what you need, get a 10-minute sample to review, then ask for the full version or revisions. You can also feed it real transcripts to rewrite.

Okay. I wanted to show you a quick tip for using ChatGPT to help you get to the prompt you need for CHAT GPT. So this is an example. This is a random example, but I needed some synthetic data that I want ChatGPT to generate for me so that I can use it for product testing. This works for whatever the thing you need from ChatGPT is. But when I've used this prompter or ask ChatGPT for this data before, it's come back with outputs that I wasn't happy with. So, so here's the trick. I said, I explained what I needed. I want to get realistic meeting transcripts to use as synthetic data to test my product stuff. They need to be 30 minutes. I gave it some details and then I said, in the past I've asked you for help with this and it's been too shallow, cliche, unrealistic. What's your suggestion for prompting to get what I need. And now ChatGPT is doing this work for me. So it's saying to do this, the key is to structure your prompter and blah, blah, blah, blah. And now it's just going to give me the prompt. So in this case it's saying, you're going to help me generate a realistic detailed transcript. The meeting is at Company X. The participants are blah, blah, blah. The purpose is. And then it's even giving me, it's saying, just give me the first 10 minutes. And it's recommending that I first look at the 10 minutes that it's going to give and if I'm happy with it, then get it to give me the full 30 or 60. But I can also tell it these things if I need a change. Looks like it's also giving me an alternate angle. Oh, that's nice that I can. That's a great suggestion. I could actually feed it real call transcripts and it can rewrite them or maybe regenerate them. So that's a quick hack for using ChatGPT to better use ChatGPT.
