Hi Molly Mueller with WatchMe AI Today I want to do a overview on which AI models to use and specifically within ChatGPT. If you are a ChatGPT user, you open up ChatGPT and see all these different model choices and I get this question all the time. Most people do not know which model to use for what, so I just want to give you my quick overview on how I decide which model to use. So my go to model in ChatGPT is 4.0. That's the workhorse, that's the model that should probably be your default for most things. I use 4.0for my day to day things, quick questions, parsing information like I'll throw meeting transcripts into there and ask it to summarize things and tell me the action items and day to day actions like that. Now, O3 is the one that you might not be using enough of yet. O3 is the newest of OpenAI's reasoning models and I use this one for all of my strategic work. So anything I'm doing where I need a strategic thought partner. So you know, creating a go to market strategy or thinking about pricing for my product, teach me how to build things. So anytime I have a question about how to build part of my product, I'll put that into O3. I would say anything new for me that I want to learn, I'll use O3. Now when it comes to writing there is A model called 4.5 and 4.5 is their best model for writing, especially creative writing and writing that you want to sound like you or like a human. I use 4.5 as a pass on a lot of the writing that I publish, whether that's blogs or LinkedIn posts or even emails that I send and sometimes even slack messages. I'll do my deep thinking in O3 and brainstorming and give me an outline for the thing that I want to write. And I'll go back and forth several times in those other models until I am happy with the outline and the data points that we're going to use and the thesis of the blog post or whatever it is. And then I'll take that outline and copy that into 4.5 to have it write the actual piece for me. And it knows me really well right now, so it will write in my voice. Sometimes I need to nudge it to say hey, make this sound more like me. And then it'll do another pass that genuinely does sound like me. For things like image creation, I typically use 4o. It's also better for creating documents though. I that O3 is better at creating spreadsheets. Those are some ways that I use each model. Happy to share more in a different post about how I use non OpenAI models as well.
