Cheaper less quality leads or more expensive targeted ones?

Cheap high-volume leads waste money because you pay setters to filter them. Track cost per booked call and cost per closed sale instead. Ask prospects which ad brought them in, then confirm after they buy.

, but it's costing like $10 per follow. So I'm curious from your perspective on like, what would it be worth to pay per follow if they're your dream clients coming in? But I'll send you the metrics on those ads.
My biggest answer to this is you have to look beyond the leading indicators and you have to start looking at the lagging indicators, right? So with the ads in— with these types of ads that you're running, um, the leading indicators are like cost per profile view, cost per follow, cost per ideal follower, like the quality percentage, all that kind of stuff. Those are like leading indicators. And for the most part, we look at cost per follow. Like, that's like, without getting like too crazy on all the tracking, like that's the main thing you look at. On the other side of that, if you can get cost per booked call and cost like per closed call, that's what I would want to see. Because ultimately, here's the thing. You can have something that's bringing you in like a lot of people, but they're not the people that are going to buy. And so the cost per follow is like really cheap., but the cost to get a call booked, or even the most important, like, the cost to get a call to close is way, way, way more, right? And so that doesn't pan out in the wash, uh, and so I'd rather you have, like, if you have a $10 cost per follower but your cost to, like, close a sale gets cut in half, that's what I really care about. So the way that we figure that out is, like, we'll just ask people when they book a call, be like, hey, by the way, which ad did you find us from? You know, like, just out of curiosity, like, which piece of content did you find me from? Um, so we'll ask people that. We'll also ask people once they get inside the program so we know like who's booking the calls and who's closing, that's the best way to tell. Like, that's the only real way to tell is to test that out. And it's a very simple thing to do it, right? You just have to be diligent about it with your setters and whoever's like onboarding people, right? So that's one thing. And then here's the other thing to keep in mind. If you go the lower cost way, but you go for like higher volume, you also have to realize that makes your DM setter's job so much harder because they have to— you have to have so much more filtration that's going on, right? So you're having to like message a— like, that's a lot of work that they need to do to message a bunch of people to figure out who's like ideal. Um, so it's not even just like the cost to book a call or the cost to— how would I say, uh, close the calls. You also have to consider like with this, this strategy that you're running, part of the cost to acquire a customer, like part of what goes into your CAC, is not just the ad cost, but it's also the cost for people to set the appointments. So you do have to consider, like, they would have to do more work and you'd be paying them to do more work. And at some point, it just— it does become more operationally complex. So anyways, that's my two cents on that. But the ultimate thing is, like, you want to start looking at those, like, lagging indicators, essentially.
