Fitness coaches: do you have this data?

A fitness coach earning $20K/month wants to hit $50K/month but can't define churn or close rate. Coaches track every calorie and sleep hour for clients, yet ignore their own business metrics. You can't scale what you don't measure.

Dear fitness coaches, I love you, but y'all are real hypocritical sometimes. I was talking to a guy the other day on a discovery call, great human, but I asked him a question because right now he's running his business and he has like no data, no tracking. You know, I asked him on the, on the form before we got on the phone, what do you need to grow? Like, he want— he's at almost $20K a month, wants to go to $50K a month. I'm like, okay, what's stopping you from getting there? What do you need to grow? One of the things that he put on the form was retention. He needs better retention. And so when we got on the phone, it's like, okay, what's churn? Which is literally your metric that tells you how your retention is, right? I was like, what's churn? He's like, well, I don't know. I'm like, okay, does that seem like a problem to you? Like, what's the close rate? Well, I don't know. So then I stopped and I was like, okay, let me back up for a second. You coach clients to win bodybuilding shows, right? To do prep, win bodybuilding shows, get super shredded. Yeah. He's like, yeah. I'm like, okay, so let me ask you this. When you coach them, Do you have numbers for them? I'm assuming they're tracking their food, they're tracking their calories, their sleep, their protein, their this, their that. He's like, oh yeah, we have data for everything. Like, right. Can you imagine trying to get those people to win shows without having any data? Well, no. My point exactly. So why are you expecting yourself to double your business when you don't have your own data?
