In this motivational monologue, speaker Morgan (SPEAKER A) emphasizes that a person's current situation stems from their past, but future direction is determined by present choices. He argues that power lies in the present moment and urges listeners to project their actions into the future to see if they align with their desired self. Morgan introduces a core framework: thoughts lead to feelings, which lead to actions, which produce results. If outcomes are unsatisfactory, the root cause is mindset. He proposes three daily rituals to rewire the mind—gratitude practice, consuming uplifting content (books, podcasts, audiobooks), and daily goal review—comparing mental training to physical exercise. He shares his personal struggle and stresses that consistent, small habits can transform optimism and positivity. The call to action is to start today with one habit, reinforcing that present actions shape future outcomes.

Where you are is a result of who you were, but where you choose to go depends entirely on who you choose to be starting today. I don't know about you, but that feels incredibly empowering to me. So if you're not where you want to be right now, if you've tried and you failed, it doesn't fucking matter because all your power is is in the present moment. Do not let your past circumstances dictate what you think you're capable of. The only thing that matters is what you are doing today, the actions you are taking today. Now I want you to ask yourself, if you projected your actions 5, 10, 20 years into the future, would you be the person that you want to be? If the answer is no, you need to change that shit to a yes. Now I know what you might be thinking. You might be thinking, "Morgan, I know I've tried in the past. I know what I should be doing, but I can't get myself to take action on it." Trust me, I understand the struggle. I understand the frustration. And I want to share something really important with you. Thoughts lead to feelings lead to actions lead to results. How you think influences how you feel, and how you feel influences how you act, and the actions that you take determine your results. So if you're not getting the results you want, if you're not taking the action you want to take, if you're not feeling the way you want to feel, you need to address your thoughts. The root cause of the issues. You need to address your thoughts and work on your mindset. You need to change your thoughts to those of positivity and optimism, to focusing on what you want versus what you don't want, and focusing on the possibilities versus focusing on the problems. How, you ask? With daily rituals. Daily habits with practice, because your mind is no different than a muscle in the gym. You have to train it, and you have to feed it. If you want to start thinking more positive and more optimistic, try gratitude. Try rewiring your brain with gratitude. If you want to start thinking about the possibilities, start reading books. If you want to start focusing on what you want versus what you don't want, then start reviewing your goals every single day. This is shit that I do every day to train my mind. I'm not born, you know, super positive and super optimistic. In fact, I probably struggle with this shit more than you know. But the reason that I'm positive and the reason that I'm optimistic is because I put in the reps. I put in the daily work. I have habits that help me train my mind. Habits that I do every single day in my morning routine because I struggle too. So start today. Start training your mind. Pick just one of these habits. Maybe it's writing down 5 things you're grateful for in the morning. Maybe it's listening to a podcast or an audiobook on your commute to work. Or maybe it's setting a goal and reviewing it every single day. Whatever it is, please start today. Because where you are is a result of who you were, but where you go depends entirely on the actions you decide to take starting today. So take action. I promise you'll be glad you did.
