In this solo‑host vlog, the creator shares a personal story of working 14‑hour days across two jobs while building a business, describing the resulting exhaustion and fear of burnout. He identifies meditation—specifically focused breathing—as the single practice that has kept his energy and mental clarity afloat. He explains that even brief sessions (30 seconds to a few minutes) provide a noticeable reset, but his own experiments show 10‑15 minutes is the sweet spot for deep relaxation, with 30‑minute sessions also beneficial when time permits. The speaker recommends two mainstream meditation apps—Headspace and Calm—highlighting Calm’s free guided sessions, timer, sleep‑aid, mindful‑eating, and productivity tracks, and notes his own subscription use. The overall message is a concrete, low‑barrier action step: carve out a short, daily meditation break to hit the “refresh button” and prevent burnout while pursuing a startup. The video ends with a promise of new content next week.

What's up guys, welcome back to my YouTube channel dedicated to helping you become what you could be. Okay, so today's video is really, really relevant for you if you are someone who is burning the candle at both ends. Maybe you're working two jobs, maybe you work a really physical job, you maybe you have kids, I have no idea, but whatever's going on in your life, if you feel like you just don't have the energy, like you're exhausted, and like you could really, really use really just anything to help you hit that refresh button, then this video is for you. Now, why am I making this video? Honestly, well, one, I think this is gonna help you, and two, this is inspired by me struggling with the exact same thing. Honestly, I In the last 14 days, I think I've worked like 14 hours-ish every day. I just have like almost no time to even, I still told my friend the other day that I literally don't have time to think an extra thought some days. And you know, that's all fine and dandy, but you know, I'm kind of a health nut. I previously was a health coach and I totally, I just, I totally see how you really want to avoid burnout, right? You get to that point and it's going to take a long time to recover. And so this last 14 days where I've been, you know, getting up, do my morning routine, I'd go work on my business for 4 or 5 hours, um, I'd come back home, I'd hit the refresh button for about an hour, like, well, maybe 30 minutes, and I get ready for the next job. I go there for 8 hours, I'd come back home, Go back to sleep and just repeat for 14 days. So, I've been having the same struggle. And the thing that is probably the glue that's holding my life together right now in terms of energy and being able to hit that daily refresh button, stay with me here, it's meditation. Now, I know what you're thinking. Well, I actually don't know what you're thinking, but you might be thinking, Oh God, here we go again. Meditation, this woo-woo stuff, this ultra spiritual stuff. Look, I'm not talking about meditation to get you to some place where you're having like some altered state consciousness and we're all one and etc., etc. Well, I do think that that would be really cool. That's not the purpose of this video. The purpose of this video is rest, relaxation, and hitting that refresh reset button so that you don't burn yourself clean, clear out. So what I can tell you is that I've done some experimenting with this for the last probably month. I can tell you that even literally even 60 seconds of this is going to help you. And all this really is, this meditation thing, is breathing. It's focusing on your breath. It's just taking a minute to at least start to to be better at not having so many thoughts constantly run through your head and not having to do, do, do and go, go, go. And it's just hitting pause on your life is really what this is. And if you can do this, heck, if you could do this for 30 seconds, it's gonna be beneficial. 30 seconds, 90 seconds, you could do 5 minutes. I'm finding that 10 to 15 minutes, let's say 12 minutes, is actually pretty freaking optimal. I can literally feel my body, like, and my mind, finally feel my mind start to calm down by this point, and I can just feel my body super relaxed, and I'm like, oh my God, this is amazing. So I'm finding 10 to 15 minutes is super optimal. I've also done some experimentation with 30 minutes, which is also really great, but I don't do that often because it is a longer period of time. So meditation. What's the action step here? How do you do this? I highly recommend downloading an app. The two that I've experimented with are Headspace and the Calm app. Headspace I've used in the past. I thought that was pretty good. They do some guided meditations. I can't quite remember all that they have, but I know it's a really popular one. And I've used it in the past. The one I'm currently using is Calm, so C-A-L-M. Yeah, I spelled that right. But the Calm app, they do guided meditations. They also do unguided meditations where you just have a timer and you have some nice sounds in the background. But if you're starting out, I highly recommend the guided ones. The Calm app I know has some stuff for free. I'm not sure about Headspace, but I know Calm has some stuff for free. And you also have the option to purchase like a subscription if you want to. I actually have purchased the subscription and I'm using it for all kinds of things. There's some stuff there that helps you for sleep. I struggle with insomnia sometimes, probably because I can't get my brain to shut off, but I've used that. I struggle with my eating pattern sometimes. So sometimes I do the mindful eating ones. Sometimes I just— there's just all kinds of different guided ones for focus, for productivity, for happiness, for just all kinds of stuff. So that's really my rant today. If I could just share one tip with you to prevent burnout, it would be to really just try meditation. I don't even think I should be calling this meditation. Just try taking some time out of your day to not do anything and not think too hard and hit the refresh button. Try out Headspace or the Calm app. I seriously hope this helps you out, and I will see you back in the channel next Wednesday for a brand new video.
