Why not me? And I remember watching this interview and thinking to myself, why couldn't I be getting interviewed in this podcast? And obviously at the time, I mean, who the frick know me in the fitness space? Nobody. I had nothing to offer. I had no real crazy experience. But I was like, why not me? Like, why couldn't I get there? There's no reason. There's no reason. And then I got this crazy idea, and the crazy idea was, what if I could go learn from these guys? Like, these guys who had this podcast, who were basically— they had this podcast, they would travel around, interview cool people, do shit they love and they get paid to do it. And I was like, I want that life. Basically just said in the essay, like, I have nothing to offer you other than the fact that I'm a hustler. I will do the things. I'll do this, I'll do that. Like, I have no real skills, but like, I just want to learn. I'm all in. I'm just willing to work hard. Like, can I just come be around you guys and like work for you for free? Sure enough, he's like, yeah, all right, you crazy Canadian, you want to come down and work for free? Like, fill your boots. And so I call up my mom, the poor lady, and I tell her I'm dropping out of engineering and I'm actually going to move to Memphis, Tennessee to work for free for these 3 guys that I have never met in my life that I found on YouTube.
