Why You Don't Need To Know "HOW"

In this motivational YouTube vlog, the creator encourages viewers to stop over‑thinking the entire path to a goal and instead focus on taking the first actionable step. He opens with a Martin Luther King Jr. quote about taking the first step in faith without seeing the whole staircase. He illustrates the point with two real‑life stories: (1) a friend stuck in the automotive industry who wants to move into interior design; the friend’s first step is simply talking about his desire, which leads to networking and buying a design book, gradually revealing further steps. (2) the creator’s own journey from discovering CrossFit, to diving into nutrition, taking an online course, coaching clients, and eventually pivoting to running 21‑day challenges, which he now finds more fulfilling and profitable. He adds a rock‑climber analogy to reinforce that you can see the top but not every foothold, and that movement creates the next steps. The video concludes with a clear call‑to‑action: viewers should identify their own first step, post it in the comments, and subscribe. A brief side note about confronting fear of judgment while filming serves as an extra illustration of taking action despite discomfort.

What's up guys, welcome back to my YouTube channel, which is dedicated to helping you become what you could be. If you have a passion you want to pursue or a dream that you want to make happen, but you find yourself feeling stuck because you have no idea how you're going to make it happen, this video is for you. Trust me, I've had this exact same problem too, and there's been one mindset shift that really helped me get unstuck. And I'm gonna share that mindset shift with you, and I'm also gonna share two real-life examples to back it up. Oh, and real quick, before we get started, be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel by hitting the button in the bottom right-hand corner of this video. Alright, so let's get into it. This mindset shift is actually from a quote, and it's a quote by Martin Luther King Jr., and he said, "Just take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, you just have to take the the first step. So that's the mindset shift. And let me talk about this. I really want to give you two examples, two real-life examples to show you how this actually played out. So example number one would be last week when I had a friend in town and he had told me that, you know, he was in the car industry and he really didn't want to be in that, you know, automobile industry anymore. And he really wished that he could start pursuing interior design, right? He had no idea how to make that happen. He felt totally stuck in the industry that he was currently in, and he just had no idea how that was really gonna become a thing. And I really feel like his first step was starting to talk about it, right? Was just like bringing it up, just bringing it up with me. And that was kind of his first step. And then, you know, I thought about this for a while and we started talking about it and I realized that I actually had an aunt who was in that industry and she was doing very, very well for herself. And I said, okay, well, let me connect the two of you. So then I connected the two of them. Um, and now something can probably come from that. Who knows? Maybe a door opens for a job. You just don't know. Maybe she connects him with someone else. Who knows? Um, but that's one example of just taking the first step and having other steps kind of start to reveal themselves, right? Um, even another thing, you know, he went back home and he must have been in the mall or something and he started to go through a bookstore and next thing you know, now he's buying a book on design and now he's reading that book and he's getting inspired by that book and now his brain is just coming up with all these possibilities and he's starting to see You know, now that he's taken the first step, he's starting to see the next step and the step after that. And really just, you know, he can see more of the staircase now that he's taken that first step. Even in my own life, similar things have happened, you know. I remember getting into CrossFit a while back, and, you know, because I got into CrossFit, I started reading a lot of blogs and watching a lot of YouTube videos on nutrition. And I was like, you know, I started to nerd out on it and I really loved it and I started to develop a passion for it. And eventually I was like, you know, I really wish I could monetize this. And then I ended up taking an online nutrition course. And then from that course I started coaching clients. And from coaching clients I started to figure out ways to get more clients, which was actually starting to do these 21-day challenges. And now, I actually realized by doing those challenges that I like doing the challenges more than I even like doing the nutrition coaching. And so I've actually stopped doing the nutrition coaching and started 100% doing the 21-day challenges. And I'm loving it! Like, I feel more fulfilled than I ever have been. I'm helping a lot of people. I'm getting amazing feedback. And I'm doing work that I love, and I'm starting to get paid for it. And I'm happier probably than I've ever been. I'm literally happy as a lark right now. And my point with these two stories is just that I never had all the how mapped out, right? You know, my friend didn't have the whole all the how mapped out, and he still doesn't, and I still don't. But what I can tell you is that by taking the first step, the next couple steps started to reveal themselves. And that's the point I want to get across to you today. That's the mindset shift, is that you don't have to overthink this. You don't have to to be stuck because you're trying to figure out the entire path. You don't have to see the entire staircase, you just have to take the first step. Now I want to give you one more analogy. If that's not making sense so far, I'll give you another one. Imagine a rock climber, right? And they're at the bottom of a mountain and they can see the top of the mountain. Now, do you think that they have every single— I mean, I'm sure somebody out there does, but most of them don't. But do you really think that they can see every single move that they're gonna make, every single crevice that their hand is gonna go into, or every single foothold they're gonna put their foot on? No, they can't. They're at the bottom and they know where they're starting. They can see the top and they know where they're going, and they can see the first couple moves they're gonna make, right? They can see the first couple steps, but they can't see the whole staircase. But that's fine, because as they start to move and they start to take you take action, the rest of the steps will reveal themselves. And now this brings me to probably the most important part of this video, which is that first step, right? Taking action. And all I really want you to do for this is I want you to identify your first step, your first action, no matter how small it is. Um, it could be, you know, making a post on Facebook and being like, hey guys, I'm thinking of getting into this. Does anyone know anyone in the industry that you can connect me with? And maybe you, you know, that's your action. Or maybe you already know someone and you can give them a call. Maybe you can read a blog or an article, or who knows, maybe you can sign up for an online course. I don't know what your first step is, but in this video, don't waste this video, you know, actually use it to take action and decide on a first step. And To really solidify that, I want you to leave your first step in the comments below, okay? So that's it. I hope you enjoyed the video. Leave your first step in the comments below, and if you haven't already, please click the button at the bottom right-hand corner of this video to subscribe to my YouTube channel, and I will see you next Wednesday. Oh, and P.S., total side note, I'm just gonna share this with you because I think it's fun. As I was taking this video, there was like a group of I don't know, like 6 girls probably, younger, probably a little younger than me, but like this posse of 6 girls walking toward me and I'm like filming this video looking like a total dumbass. But then I was just like, fuck it. I was gonna stop the video and then I was gonna start filming it again just because I was scared what they thought. I was gonna walk past them and then start again. But then I was just like, fuck it, who cares? Let them judge the shit out of me. Anyways, I just thought I would share that because I thought it was kind of cool, I guess, like facing a little bit of a fear. Anyways, see you next Wednesday. Have a killer week!
