In this monologue, the speaker addresses a prospective participant who is hesitant to join a mentorship program due to past negative experiences and fear of financial loss. He acknowledges the perceived risk of investing in a new program, emphasizing that every choice carries risk—whether joining a program or staying where one is. He contrasts the potential upside of the program, citing client testimonials and success stories, with the hidden risk of inaction, such as missed opportunities and possible business decline. The core message is that risk is unavoidable, but one can choose which risk to take; if you actively decide to jump, you own the risk, whereas staying passive lets life impose the risk on you. The speaker urges the listener to consciously choose the risk that aligns with growth rather than letting circumstances dictate it.

Either you choose the risk or life chooses the risk for you. Quick story for you. So speaking with someone in the DMs right now, and if you are that person and you're watching this, love ya, but still gonna tell a story about this, who is nervous to take the risk, right? To get into this program, to work with us because she's been in some other programs and it hasn't exactly been an optimal experience. And from my perspective, I'm like, yeah, there's been a lot of people who said that and came into the program and now they're sending us testimonials. But regardless, I still understand how it feels on the outside. You're like, fuck, this is a risk. And I've taken other risks and they didn't work out. And the fear behind it is like, I'm scared that if I do this and I take this jump and I take this risk, that it's going to put me in a worse position than the one that I'm already in, which is not a position where this person has a ton of extra cash flow. Their profit isn't exactly what it should be, right? And I shouldn't say should be, I should say could be is probably better wording. But here's the thing you have to understand. No matter what you do, no matter which path you take, both paths are a risk. Risk number one is that you take a risk on a program there's a degree of risk involved no matter which program you're getting into. Same thing when I invest in mentors, right? But you take a risk on a program, and yes, there's a massive potential upside. I mean, y'all see my stories and client results and whatever, just constantly throwing that out there. You see the upside, but there's still a risk. You are still taking a risk, right? And the fear is like, okay, this might put me in a worse position. But there's also a risk to doing what you're doing, to staying in the place that you're staying. The risk is you had all this upside that you could have gotten that you didn't. Also, there's a risk that your business goes backwards. Like, there's a totally a risk for this person that the business goes cash flow negative because they don't have what they need. But the way I see it, there is no avoiding risk. It is present no matter what. It's present if you jump, it's present if you don't. The only difference is that if you jump, you chose the risk that you took. If you don't jump, life chose the risk for you.
