I like big balls. Uh.
Oh, big balls. Okay, there we go.
I'm like.
What is going on? I'm like, I don't have vitamins, so I'm not sure if this is right or not.
Is that one of your nails in there?
No. Ew. It's a goji berry.
Hi, guys. Natalie, Jill here. Welcome back to Unprocessed yous Diet. And I'm here with my good friend Kiera Lachey.
Hello.
And she is my dancer guru. Your moves are insane. And we just here we were doing a fun dance workout, and she put me up to the challenge because I love creating recipes and I love foods based on unprocessed natural foods. But she's a vegan, which is amazing. But I'm not a vegan. So I had a challenge. How do I create a yummy protein snack that tastes good and that would help us recover from our workout that would need to eat your satisfaction? So I think we nailed it.
Yeah, I think we nailed it. Yeah, we did. You did.
So we're gonna show you. We're gonna get a little messy in the process, but I'm gonna show you how we created these. What are we gonna call them? Energy coconut protein balls.
Sticky balls.
Sticky balls. Nasty balls. And we had different. Different takes on how big the ball should be. So they're a little size variation here, but. But they're good. So we're gonna show you how to make them. Yay. All right, are you ready for this?
I'm ready.
So we're gonna start with the blender. Take two cups of almonds.
Two cups of almonds.
Minus one, because I'm gonna eat one.
I'm gonna eat one too. Two cups.
So that's two cups right here. Just dump the whole thing in there.
The whole thing. Okay, Dump it in. It's easy to make, even if people like me.
Okay, dump it in.
Okay.
Okay, now you're gonna take the coconut, the shredded coconut, and dump that in cross with this tilt from Lee. So we're gonna use the little Vitamix situation here.
Can you use something else in case you don't want to?
You can use any food processor, blender, just anything that will do the hard foods like that. Okay, cool.
It gets a muscle into this.
Okay. Seymour Crumbling. Okay, so then we're gonna go ahead and add the dates. Okay. Coconut oil and salt. So go ahead and add that.
So base the coconut oil and the salt.
Coconut oil is my favorite.
The pink Himalayan.
Look how pretty it is.
Pink Himalayan or salt.
All right. Okay. We almost forgot Something. What is it? The vanilla pure extract.
Oh, yeah, the vanilla. Here, I'll do it One teaspoon.
Whoops.
Or almost teaspoon if you don't spill it like I just did. Okay, so now you're going to turn this one on until it gets sticky. So go ahead and start it again.
What's going on here?
What did we throw up?
I'm like.
What is going on?
I'm like, I don't have vitamins, so I'm not sure if this is right or not.
What's happening?
No, it is.
You just said.
I'm like, I don't think this is right. Okay, thanks, Mindy. Thank you. Thank you, Mindy.
All right, you have earplugs.
Big, big obnoxious headphones.
Brooks, can I have your headphones?
So we need to add headphones to the rest of me.
Add headphones. Oh, my God. Okay, so if they're at home and they're trying to do this, it's going.
To be, don't do it while your baby's sleeping.
Don't do it while your baby's sleeping. And don't do it while the neighbors are home, because this is loud. This is a loud recipe transfer to a bowl.
Clearly, this is why I don't have a cooking show. I have good recipes, but I'm not a host of a cooking show for this reason.
That's okay, though.
I don't have the skill for the.
Beauty shots, but this is a good recipe. So seriously, you got to be willing.
To get a little messy.
Yeah.
Okay, I think we got that. Okay, so now we're gonna add. My bowl is not that pretty, but we're gonna add in the goji berries.
All of it?
Yep, all of it. Knocked it on in.
So how. How. How much is this?
Okay, we've got.
What do we have in there?
I don't know. Oh, yeah, we had a fourth of a cup of goji berries, and.
You just gotta get your hands in there and get them dirty.
What about the coconut? What are we gonna do with this?
We're gonna roll it in there after. Oh, okay. Gotta get your hands in there. Get all up in there and you make a big or a little ball.
I like big balls.
Uh, oh, big balls. Okay, there we go.
We have the same taste.
You're gonna roll it, and then you roll it in the coconut like this. It makes it pretty like a little snowball.
See?
Ready? Right?
There you go. Or you can do cocoa nibs or whatever just to make it neat.
Get a little. Little balls what about, like adding the vegan chocolate chips?
Ooh, you totally can do that. That's a good idea, right? You can add whatever, make them colorful or extra goji berries, make them red. Is that one of your nails in there? No.
Ew. Goji berries. And then we just put these in the.
You're gonna put it in the freezer for an hour and then you'll let them kind of thaw out. You can keep them frozen until you want to have them and then you let them thaw out and you can.
Keep in the refrigerator, you done lunch.
Check it out. We're gonna gobble them up because they're good.
