A coach explains why clients pay for done-for-you services: they want reassurance that an expert will handle it right. He compares it to hiring a handyman instead of risking a damaged wall, and argues this need for confidence is what scales a business.

When I was switching models, going to the sales team and getting booked calls, I had MRR coming in for like three months until I cracked my sales call file. And like that was important. It was a good upsell from like, you know, one to one to then doing done for you. Because even though one on one was great and people still got results, they still wanted me to take the reins and manage it and make sure that it was running smoothly. They wanted what we call reassurance. Most of the time when you're selling a one on one offer and then they're going to a done for you, they just want reassurance. As silly as it sounds, that's what most people pay for. I could take a drill and go hang up picture frames in my home, but like, let's be real, I don't know what the fuck I'm doing. So I'm going to probably maybe go too far, hit something in the back of the wall or whatever. Like I'd rather just pay the hundred bucks for the handyman to come over and put the same nail on the wall. He's probably going to do it better. He's probably not going to fuck up my house. And at the same time he does like this whole measurement thing with this like red laser. It's weird, but that's what you're paying for. You're paying for reassurance. Like you could do a lot of things on your own, but in order to scale, you need people and people give you reassurance when they actually do shit correctly. So it's a lot easier that way.
