He welcomed a distinguished audience that included Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekharan, eminent scientists, academics, industry leaders, and senior TCE executives. Sethi traced TCE’s evolution from its 1962 origins as Tata Besco Consulting Engineers to its current status as a global engineering design and management powerhouse, highlighting milestones such as completing over 10,000 projects in 64 countries with a portfolio exceeding $35 billion. He emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation through digital tools, the integration of ESG principles into project delivery, and a triple‑bottom‑line philosophy that balances profit, people, and planet. Sethi expressed deep gratitude to past and present employees, customers, partners, and the broader community, reaffirming TCE’s dedication to co‑creating sustainable engineering solutions for the nation’s future.

Very good evening, ladies and gentlemen. On this momentous occasion of Golden Jubilee of Tata Consulting Engineers, having completed glorious 60 years of Excellence in Engineering. It gives me great pleasure to extend very warm welcome to our Tata Sons Chairman, Shri N. Chandrasekharan ji, our distinguished guests, Dr. Rajiv Kumar ji, Dr. Anil Kakodkar ji, Dr. Saraswat ji, Professor Ranga Rajan ji, Professor Chaudhary ji, Our all esteemed customers, partners, and Tata House dignitaries, our infrastructure head Shri Banmali Agrawalaji, and many other dignitaries who are present, our group company MDs, Mr.— I can see Mr. TV Narindranji and other MDs, whoever I have missed in noticing, and TCE ex-chairman Shri Prasad Menonji, Shri Padmanabanji, and other dignitaries from the industry, our board members, diplomats, and all our colleagues of Tata Consulting Engineers. We are indeed honored and grateful to all of you to be present here today, having taken out time from your busy schedules. Especially, I understand Group Chairman Sir is busy with the Indian mission very much, and still he has taken out time. Tata Consulting Engineers is not new to you and has been built over the last 60 years, starting with Tata Besco Consulting Engineers in 1962. Today into a powerhouse of project design and management across the value chain of varied engineering activities based only on your valuable needs and feedback. Today, Tata Consulting Engineers has established itself in foreign markets as well. We will continue to seek your support, suggestions, and futuristic needs to ensure that we live the themes of innovation, knowledge, and excellence, and strive for conquering infinite boundaries of engineering for the benefit of our customers and our nation. We are proud to say that Tata Consulting Engineers, with many first-of-its-kind projects under its belt, have come to be known as engineers to the nation, but it is only because of your wholehearted support, which we will always continue to seek. You will be pleased to know that your own Tata Consulting Engineers has till date executed more than 10,000 projects across 64 countries. TCE is managing projects worth more than $35 billion. We will like to assure our customers that we are not only using latest digital tools but also focusing on integrating ESG principles into our project design, project management, and way of our working. I will like to share a quote by Shri Jamshedji which runs across our value system. In a free enterprise, the community is not just another stakeholder in business, but is in fact the very purpose of its existence. For us in Tata Consulting Engineers, triple bottom line P's do not stand in isolation, but stand together. Profit cannot be without people and planet.
