Two TCE employees describe their careers: one spent five years on thermal, renewable, and nuclear projects including a current site in Southern France; the other moved from the Young Engineer Development Program in 2015 to project manager, working with clients like Aditya Steel and Port Talbot Plant. Both credit the company's training in Jamshedpur, flexible work policies, and supportive culture.

I joined TCE 5 years back, and the experience that I have gotten over here, I don't think I would have gotten anywhere else, be it a thermal project, renewable project, or nuclear project. So right now I am in Southern France to work on a nuclear project.
TCE is the organization of opportunities where talent is always recognized. This is my realization during my journey of learning and growth in TCE, from YDP in 2015 to project manager and team lead today. During this period, I'm thankful for having the opportunity to work with major Indian clients and also international clients like Aditya Steel in the KSA and Port Talbot Plant in the UK.
TC has been an integral part of my professional journey since the last 12 years. TC's flexible and women-friendly policies ensures professional and financial continuity to all female employees who are often bound to play a less career-focused role because of family obligations. TC's diverse workforce environment benefits overall company these innovation and performance goals. I sincerely look forward to a long-lasting association with TCE in the years to come.
At Tata Consulting Engineers, we feel proud to be part of a team where values are our prime guidelines, customer delight is our main focus, and the journey is made exciting through opportunity to learn and use the latest technical tools and knowledge with complete freedom to work in an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere.
In TCE, I have got some wonderful colleagues who are always ready to share their knowledge and expertise with all of us, and I think it's an amazing thing for any organization. It's been 2 years of fabulous journey. TCE is one among the leading engineering consultant firm that I have always been looking forward to work in. The world-class training provided here for fresh graduates through Young Engineer Development Program facilitates smooth transition from campus to corporate. The work environment here is conducive, paving way for young engineers with broad opportunities to solve the real-world challenges in an eminent and efficient manner.
So being a millennial, I have this analogy related with Tata Consulting Engineers. Suppose you enter a new city, you rent a house, and all your roommates are of age group higher than you, then you find somewhat difficult to gel up with them, right? But if they are of the same age group, then we people gel up quite well. Same thing happens when you enter as a fresh college passout to the training period. In TCE, which is in Jamshedpur, for 4 to 5 months. There you meet your counterparts, more than 100 in number, who are from different fields like mechanical, civil, electrical, and you are properly trained on different softwares and how a team as a consultant works. So that is the main part which you are being trained before going into the live projects. So this smooth progression of the training period to the live projects is like a very interesting thing for me, and it helped me a lot to become a good consultant and know the problems not only of my branch but also—
I am the millennial and I am the future. Nothing worthwhile is ever achieved without deep thought and hard work, said by JRD Tata. Adapting very quickly to the new normal by facilitating remote working with cooperation and hard work between TCE and its employees is helping us to sail through this pandemic and achieve the set targets for FY 2020-21. The concept of work from home has broken the stereotype of a 9 to 6 job and has given me the liberty to serve our organization better in a flexible way, thereby increasing my productivity. It has also helped me in leveraging a good work-life balance by providing more time to spend with my family. Working from home during this pandemic has benefited me in many ways. Most importantly, quality time with family has increased. And at the same time, I'm able to devote extra hours for office work as I don't have to worry about the long traffic jam to get back home.
Hey folks, hope you all are safe in this new normal. The way we all have kept ourselves safe and isolated, the only thing I would like to tell you all is, mumkin hai safar ho aasan. Apsatvichal karte kheen, kuch tum bhi badal kar dekho, kuch ham bhi badal kar dekhen. [MUSIC] [MUSIC]
