India, the land of opportunity, diversity, and inclusivity. A country that was built on a vision to be self-reliant and future-thinking right from its early days of independence. At Tata Consulting Engineers, we believed in this vision and ensured that we were an integral part of the country's growth and development every step of the way. Established in 1962 TCE was built on the belief of becoming engineers to the nation. And today, as we celebrate our Diamond Jubilee, we can proudly say the company has truly forged its own legacy. 60 years of engineering infinite possibilities. The company's beginnings were aligned with India's aggressive foray into the power sector at that time. From being incorporated as a joint venture between Tata Electric and Ibasco Consulting Engineers Engineering Services for providing consulting engineering services for a 150-megawatt unit in Trombay in 1962, to Tata Consulting Engineers with over 10,000 projects executed across 64 countries today. The company's journey has been engineered with multiple milestones under the care and tutelage of some of the sharpest minds in the industry. TCE has attained a dominant position in the country in the field of consulting engineering services across diverse sectors. TCE has played a major role in nation-building across various sectors like power, infrastructure, chemicals and hydrocarbons, and mining and metallurgy, providing services like design, engineering, project management, digital and advanced technology, and sustainability solutions, working with a multitude of national and international companies, including many from the Tata Group. Today, TCE in India touches 1 in every 3 bulbs that are lit, 1 in every 5 taps providing water, 8 out of 10 nuclear facilities, and more than 14 smart cities and 50+ Amrut cities under implementation. Having delivered more than 10,000 projects globally, TCE would be managing physical infrastructure projects worth more than $35 billion at any given point in time. The company has amassed an experience of more than 200 gigawatts of power generation. 25,000+ MLD of water and wastewater, 250+ million TPA of material handling, 15+ million meters of piping engineering, and 15+ million hours of 3D integrated engineering across its projects, handled by over 3,500 engineering professionals. Some of the pioneering projects that highlight TCE's contribution to nation-building include India's first 500-megawatt thermal power plant at Trombay. Asia's biggest water treatment plant at Bhandup. The world's largest steerable telescope. India's first 800-kV, 405-kilometer-long transmission line from Anpara to Unnao. India's first creek tunnel at Karcheli for Water Transmission System. Asia's largest sewage pumping station in Mumbai. India's first 800-megawatt supercritical thermal power plant. India's first 500-megawatt and first 700-megawatt pressurized heavy water nuclear reactor. India's first 500-megawatt fast breeder reactor nuclear power plant. Several key national infrastructure projects are also currently ongoing, such as partners in India's space program, the Central Vista in New Delhi, Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail or bullet train. Keeping in tune with the current times, TCE has also geared up to enable a smooth the energy transition within the country as well as internationally. We have built capabilities to execute large ground-mounted solar parks, floating solar, rooftop solar, as well as onshore and offshore wind farms. Energy storage is a key part of variable renewable power, and TCE has gained further insights for better hydro and pumped storage projects. We have crossed 50 gigawatts of renewables, hydro, and PSPs. In the green chemical space, TCE is also executing several green hydrogen, green methanol, and green ammonia projects in India and the Middle East. We are also involved in creating Asia's first hydrogen refueling station in Ladakh. Over the last 60 years, TCE has always welcomed change by planning for the future, by setting high standards, and by being the benchmark for the way the consulting engineering business will shape up. We now look forward to the next 60 years with renewed energy and vigor.
