Scale Your Facebook Ads With These 3 Strategies

Nicolas Korvessis shows how to scale Facebook ads without breaking them. Most campaigns fail around $2,000 daily spend. Test dozens of low-budget ads first, then raise budgets 10-20% daily while duplicating winners with small tweaks to headlines and copy.

In this no-nonsense video, I want to show you how you can scale your Facebook campaigns consistently and predictably using a couple of really simple tweaks. So let's just get right into it. I'm already here inside of one of my ad managers, and as an example, I want to show you a couple of different ways that you can scale your winners sustainably. And that's really the biggest thing, because on Facebook ads and a lot of ad platforms, when it comes to scaling That's where things start to break, unfortunately. But there's ways to remedy it and ways to prepare so things won't break as much as they will if you would decide that you want to start scaling things. The biggest issues that I've seen is that on Facebook especially, and some other platforms, when you start to approach that $2,000 per day in spending, that's when things can really start to break down. So there's a couple of different ways that I want to attack this. And one of those is how can you prepare and set up your campaigns to begin with, to be able to scale at that effective level when you're wanting to spend more money. And 2, once you get to that point, what do you wanna be doing and how do you wanna be structuring things to make sure that that campaign or ad or ad set can continue to spend at that higher spend limit? So let's look at that really quick. And I'm gonna use a couple of examples here on this separate account of mine. So let's say we're taking a look here and this campaign right here for the lifetime of it spent $1,300. It's got 9 sales at $145. So for this product, that would be profitable. Um, there's a couple in here and obviously there's some that are doing better than others. What's the plan? How are we gonna scale it? Now, if you're starting from scratch, and I wanna talk about that first, I think one of the best ways that you can structure your ad campaigns is to have a ton of different tests going all at small different variables and spend at lower spend limits as well. And you start to incrementally increase things. So when you're starting things off, let's say for example, this one right here, we're starting at a $30 budget a day. If it was doing what I wanted, AKA, and that doesn't always have to be getting the sale because a lot of people will say, okay, well, I know that I need to spend at least $100 to get a sale. I'm gonna set the ad set to start off at $100. That's a bad idea because you're just shoving all this budget into Facebook and it doesn't have enough data and you don't have enough confidence yet to be able to just do that. The confidence that you need is by looking at these ad metrics, right? So this one looks really good on paper. It's getting a good cost per purchase, but when it comes to scaling it, it looks like it wouldn't do as well. Whereas this one up here, it's got a little bit of a higher cost per purchase, but at the same time, the ad metrics are tremendously better. It's got a much cheaper CPM and a much cheaper cost per link click. And those are the key metrics that you want to really look out for is when you decide to start scaling things, it's very important to look at the ones that are actually generating you the result. But it's also important to look at the supporting KPIs to see that if that's supporting you scaling it, and that's how you can decide what to scale. So make sure you're looking at the primary result as well as the supporting data behind it to show you if you need to scale it up. Now let's just say this one down here, it's got 5 purchases at $102. I would love to scale this thing up, but based on the ad metrics here, it looks like it'll be kind of tough to do that because we're We're paying so much per click and we're paying a lot to get in front of people. So from there, one of the best things that I've found to do is you can filter this down by placement, by audience, by age range, and really figure out, okay, what audience, what age range, what group of people is going to work best to allow me to scale this thing to where I want to scale it. So always look deeper. Now once you've found all those things and you found something that's winning and that is showing the supporting data for you to be able to scale it, One of the first things I'd recommend doing is increasing the budget anywhere from 10 to 20% every day or every other day, as long as it continues to deliver you results. If it's doing what you want every day or every other day, just slightly bump the budget by 10 to 20%. Anywhere in between there, I wouldn't recommend higher than 20% 'cause that's gonna be coming up next. The next thing you can do if you really wanna scale spend is instead of just pouring money into it that way, you'd rather duplicate that ad set out. So in this case, this one right here, duplicate it out into a new campaign. It would be a scaling campaign, and you'd want to actually duplicate it 3 different times. And each time you duplicate it, you want to change one small thing. So me personally, I call this a super scale with micro variations. So in this case, let's say, and you could even have a campaign that is just your super scale. And what you could do is when you duplicate this out, each time you duplicate it, you're going to change one small thing on the ad. And I'd recommend changing things like the headline, the description, the button, the lead-in to the copy of the ad. So right at the top there, that caption that people can see, as well as the age range. That's really, really good things to change to kind of reset the initial conditions of that Facebook ad. The last thing I wanna mention is, okay, say you have an ad that's just crushing it even at a higher budget. How can you continue to scale this thing? CBOs is a big one and testing out different ways to spend the budget. You'll see here when you're in Facebook, it gives you the default setting, which is to spend this as a daily budget. But there's actually a way that you can set this up where you can have it spend a lifetime budget. And I've seen that setting things up as a lifetime budget can actually have a really, really big significant impact on the performance of your ad campaigns. So I'd really recommend giving that a shot when you're trying to scale things up. It can really, really be helpful. So as a quick recap, here are the couple of things that you should be doing if you want to scale your Facebook ads predictably more than anything else. If you find something that's working before just dumping a ton of money into it, make sure the supporting metrics are supporting that decision that you can scale that campaign. Once you see that, I'd recommend increasing the budget by 10 to 20% every day, or every other day, as long as the results continue to improve or continue to remain the same. And they're not going the opposite direction. They're not going downhill, right? Second is I'd recommend setting up something called a super scale with micro variations. Duplicate the ad set a couple of times that's winning, change a few small things on each duplicate thing that you set up. And finally, look at controlling those budgets. Look at a CBO campaign or a lifetime spend and see how just simply changing the budgets can make a big impact and will allow you to scale. Scaling can be a slow process, but you need to build up to it. So don't just try to rush in and scale something because it may look good on paper at first, but the second you try to scale it, I've seen so many ad accounts just die, and then it takes a while for them to come back as well. So let me know if you have any questions.
