The Best Creatives For High Performing Facebook Ads

Nicolas Korvessis ranks Facebook and Instagram ad creatives from worst to best, with S-tier winners including blunt text-only posts and Midjourney AI visuals. He explains why memes, comparisons, and viral-news styles perform differently across e-commerce, lead gen, and coaching, and stresses testing multiple formats together.

There are tons of different creatives that you can run through your paid advertising, specifically on Facebook and Instagram ads. And in this video, I wanted to make a tier list to show what we've seen are the best performing creatives across Facebook and paid ads just across the board. So let's just go through this one by one. I'll kind of talk through it as I do it. I may upload more images as I'm kind of working through this. But I kind of put in the ones that we've researched that are doing really well, the ones at top of my mind that are doing really well. And these have not only been doing well recently, but historically over countless years, these specific creatives have been doing very, very well for us in both the e-com space, lead gen space, coaching, course creators, stuff like that. All these creatives are really good, but let's go ahead and put 'em into a tier list. And I'm sorting this through A through D and then S being like the super tier, like the best possible creatives that always tend to work really, really well. No matter what we do. And I'm gonna start from the worst performing to the best performing. So let's get right into it. First things first, for us, what we've seen doing the worst recently have been basically these infographics. So things that are like just basic infographics where there's maybe like a picture of something and then some words or even some graphs, those haven't tended to do as well for us recently. I'd recommend testing them. All of these I'd recommend testing, but they've just done okay for us. The next batch that I've actually been doing pretty well for us and on up and coming for sure have been these viral news style posts. Now, some of these are gonna integrate some AI creatives, which we'll talk about in some of the next tiers. But these viral news style posts have been doing very, very well. I'll probably flash some of 'em up on screen as we kind of work through some of these. But they just have been doing a lot better recently. They used to not do as well. And as long as you throw in some different combinations of some of the other tiers, these can start to do a lot better. The next one that we're gonna be going into is comparisons. So these comparisons have always done pretty well and they always tend to outshine like the viral news ones or even the infographics. And Facebook can be a little bit iffy when it comes to comparisons. But as long as you structure them in the right way and you don't do a very strict before and after, more so just comparing 2 different things, not necessarily highlighting a result, they tend to do very, very well. So I'd highly recommend looking into those. Next, um, on the tier list is actually going to be a mix of AI creatives and memes. Um, so I just had one AI creative in here, and you can see some of these down here are actually AI as well. Like I mentioned, I'll flash some of these up on screen as we work through 'em. But meme creatives tend to work very, very well even now. I know when I first started doing a lot of paid ads 6, 7 years ago, maybe a little bit longer than that, we did memes all the time as the initial tests and they worked very, very well. And they still to this day, memes work very, very well. They grab attention, they're relatable, they're easy to make on top of it all. And right up there with it is AI creatives. So AI creatives have been working really well for us recently. We use an app called Midjourney and we make a ton of really cool AI creatives in tons of different ways. Once again, I'll flash them up on screen as we're going through them, but these AI creatives tend to work really well. They grab attention and they are also very easy to make. Last but not least on this specific tier list, and I'm really going through images, maybe I'll do another one with videos, is these blump posts, these very simple text-based creatives, and I'm gonna drag all these up here, have worked the best and always tend to work very, very well for us. They're so simple, they're very easy to make, and it's just text-based creatives that just tend to crush it for us, especially in the lead gen space. And even sometimes in e-commerce, they tend to work sometimes surprisingly, and, and they surprise us a lot where these text-based images are just like in a tier of their own. They just tend to work oddly well all the time, no matter what kind of changes you're making, they continue to work, which is really, really funny. And it's very, very interesting. So this is just one of the initial tier lists I thought I'd make. I thought this would be really useful. Like I said, hopefully you've been looking at some of the creatives that have been popping up on screen as we've been going through this. So you can see which ones work best. I'd recommend testing a little bit of all of these. And these are just some of the ones that are top of mind for me right now. If I get enough on this video, of feedback, recommendations, and questions, I may make another video going into a deeper tier list. But this is something that has just been top of mind for me. These creatives from more of the infographics to the blunt post creatives is what we call them, have been working very, very well. Everything in between has a, has a place and has a spot for it to work. So I'd recommend testing all of them, but this is what we've been seeing that's been working very, very well across the board. So try these out. Let me know if you have any questions. If you have anything, just please comment below and I'll make sure to give you some feedback. And I'm glad to even review your ads and your creatives. I hope you enjoyed this video and I'll see you in the next one.
