In this video, I want to give you a really quick, really simple Facebook ad hack and how you can relate both Facebook and YouTube and how you can get your video ads to perform a ton better inside of your paid advertising. So let's just get right into it. So I'm here inside of the Ads Manager just as an example account, and what I want to show you is why video is super important to use and a really great way to actually start using video. In your Facebook ads if you've never used them before, as well as if you have a winning video, how to really take that to the next level. So in most cases, if you've already got a piece of creative that has been doing something well before, that's where you're really gonna start with everything across the board. So for example, let's just take, um, Let's just take this creative as an example right here. So this is a static image creative that's working well. You can see it says, turn your passion for helping others into a full-time business. We're looking for 5 motivated coaches who want to do yada, yada, yada. Great, that's an awesome creative. If you've never filmed a video before on your paid ads and you want to know where to start, this is where you start. You take your winning piece of creative or copy, but ideally your piece of creative that's working, and turn it into a video. You literally turn on the camera selfie style and film this exact same thing as a video and launch it as a Facebook ad. Now the correlation here and how to get your video ads to perform even better is by leveraging thumbnails. And I don't think I see enough people doing this inside of their paid ads, especially in Facebook. So let's remember this one here. Um, and let's say we're going to Duplicate one of these ones over here. And this is a video ad. So say you saw that one that was winning, you filmed it as a video, you're ready to launch it. What the heck do you do? Well, let's jump into Facebook real quick. Let's just tweak some of these budgets really quickly. And we're gonna go to this section. What we're gonna do is snag and add in a brand new video, choose the video that you want to add in. Anything you want, right? Original. All this is good. You'll hit next, you'll hit done. Once that's dropped in there, then you're going to hit edit media, edit video. It'll take you to a screen that looks like this. Not sure why they don't do this to begin with, but you got to do it this way. And then you can choose the thumbnail from here. What you're going to do is you're going to choose a manual thumbnail, which you can see right here. Make Make my video a little smaller and you can upload a manual thumbnail. So from here you can grab that creative that worked really well, hit save, and then boom, the thumbnail itself is the ad that has worked very, very well for you in the past on paid ads, which is really, really cool because you know that you can get the click, you know that people are slowing their scroll on this. So you know it's gonna work, which is really cool. Obviously edit it just to make sure like the cropping and everything like that works. But in most cases, if it's a 1:1 or a 9:16, those are really the 2 aspect ratios that are best suited for something like Facebook and Instagram is 9:16 and 1:1. Because that 1:1 will usually fit in the 16:9 framework as well. And there you go. Super easy way to plug and play. I'm gonna have to re-add this thumbnail real quick, but to basically reverse engineer and lock things that are working and only test small things. Because right here, we know this creative will slow the scroll. We know people will see this and they'll hit play. The next step is then to test the video out, which is— this is a great way to do it. I get so excited every time I talk about it because I think it's an easy way to really boost and guarantee the success of your video ads and not make it like you're fighting an uphill battle. The next step from here is you can just go video only. And from Facebook to YouTube, for example, it's a really great transition. To be able to go from static image that's winning, you know, get that static image that's winning, add that as a thumbnail to your new video, remove the static image, see if it still works, and then take that same thing and put it on YouTube. I found it a lot easier to go from Instagram and Facebook to YouTube than it is the other way around. So if you're considering advertising on YouTube and you haven't done anything on Facebook, or you haven't really tested enough on Facebook, I'd really recommend starting here first because it's a great way to lay the groundwork to scale your campaigns and make sure you have effective success on YouTube.
