In this tutorial, the presenter answers a viewer’s question about creating Facebook/Instagram lookalike audiences when you don’t have a pre‑existing list of 100 buyers or high‑quality leads. He outlines three main pathways: (1) using lead‑scraping tools such as D7 Lead Finder or Lead Enforce, (2) generating your own leads with a low‑cost landing page or Facebook lead form that offers a simple lead magnet, and (3) running inexpensive engagement‑focused ad campaigns to collect post or ad engagers. He walks through the practical steps for each method, including budget estimates (e.g., $10‑$100 per lead, $30 for 738 engagements, $4,300 for a 350‑person email list), how to combine client lists with newly generated leads, and how to create a custom audience of Instagram/Facebook engagers and then a 1 % lookalike (yielding 2.8‑8.4 million potential users). The speaker compares the pros and cons of scraped lists versus engagement‑based audiences, emphasizing match‑rate reliability and intent quality. He concludes with a recommendation to start with engagement or lead‑magnet campaigns, supplement with any existing client data, and avoid over‑reliance on scraped lists. The video ends with invitations to join a free “Predictable Profits Mastermind” community and a complimentary “Ad Mastery Bootcamp.”

All right, so I got a really good question from someone, and it is, if I don't have a list of people, 100 people to make a lookalike audience, what do I do? How can I still use the idea and the concept of a lookalike audience if I don't necessarily have a list of 100 buyers or a list of 100 really good leads? What do I do? And I think there's a few different options here. One is you could just use a very simple lead scraping tool Something like a D7 Lead Finder LinkedIn scraping tool. There's a software called Lead Enforce that you could also use, but I think what would be even better is to make your own lookalike audience for $100, maybe a couple hundred bucks, not spending too much money to make your own lookalike audience that's highly targeted. That'll help you to get a lot better results instead of needing to rely on some kind of lead scraping software. Or something like that. So what I'm gonna do in this video is show you the setup for making your own lookalike audience, how it works, what everything should look like and function like, and then how to set it up. So overall, I think there are 2 ways to do this, and it really just depends how much money you really wanna spend. So first way of doing this is a little bit more expensive, but what you can do is drive people to a very simple landing page or a lead form. I do prefer a landing page because I think it'll bring you a higher intent lead, not necessarily higher quality, because someone on a Facebook lead form could be just as good as someone on a landing page. But in most cases, people from a landing page, they will be higher intent because the barrier to entry is just a little bit higher. So what you could do is you could run a very simple ad where you send people to a page and they opt in for something, just a very simple lead magnet. Sure, it's gonna be great to build your email list, but if you can get opt-ins for $10 or less, you can spend a couple hundred bucks and get 40 to 50 leads very quickly. Now that may be a little bit too small to build a lookalike audience right off the bat, but if you keep it going, you can get it there. And they're built off of leads that have engaged with your ad, clicked on an ad and opted in for your specific thing. So it's so much more targeted, especially if you don't maybe have 100 buyers yet. But maybe you do have some buyers, maybe you have some clients, different things like that. You can combine your client list with whatever you have here, anyone that's paid you in the past combining with this lead list, and that's gonna get higher and higher. So that's the first thing. The second thing is if you don't wanna spend too much money, 'cause you can see in this case we spent like 4 grand to build a 350-person email list just from this ad campaign. It's quite a bit of money. It's a lot of leads. This would make a great lookalike audience, but I get how some people can't just spend $4,300 right off the bat to build a lookalike audience. So the next piece that I think is super important is just getting engagements. You can see this campaign here. We launched 3 different ads, 3 different creatives, all of which were just simply to drive engagement and to get people to engage with The ad, the page, like it, things like that. We spent $30, got 738 post engagements, all of which we can retarget. Now sure, it's maybe not as high intent as a lead on a lead form, as a buyer, or as a list, but you know that the people, you know who's engaging with the ad. It's all from your own stuff. Whereas if you go something like D7 Lead Finder, you have no idea if that list you're getting has active Facebook or Instagram users, if it doesn't. And that's where I've seen problems arise from those certain things is it's sometimes a lot better to just spend a little bit of money, rack up a ton of engagements. You know, everyone that engaged has a Facebook and/or Instagram account. So you're gonna get pretty much a 100% match rate for all these people that have engaged. Plus that lookalike audience will be really, really big. So let, I'll just use this as an example and I'll show you how to build this. But let's say you have those engagements and you have maybe even that list. So you could combine both of them together, but I'll just show you how to make that custom audience for people that have engaged with everything. So what you could do is you could either be on an Instagram or Facebook page. I'll start with Instagram and you can simply just choose either anyone who's engaged with this professional account, So that's gonna be everyone took an action on a post or an ad. So organic or non-organic, comments, saves, swipes, button taps, or shares, pretty much anything. Let me just update this to mine. The other option is this one, which is more specific, anyone who engaged with a post or an ad. So this is gonna be more specific to your paid ads. So you can click on that one. You can choose how far out in advance you'd want that. And then you could say IG ad or post engagers, and you can hit create. And then from there you can make a lookalike audience. We'd obviously update this to the United States. And you can see a 1% lookalike of that is 2.8 million people, call it 3 million, 5.6, 8.4. It's a pretty healthy size. And even if we're just between like 1 to 2, 1 to 3, 2 to 3. Like you've got a good chunk of people here. And this is maybe it's below 1,000 people is what the estimated size is, but it's gauging that it's probably gonna be around 1,000 people, but it wasn't much money to generate those engagements. Plus maybe the little bit that I get on organic, you've got a pretty healthy lookalike audience here. And what you could even do is let's say it was a 1%, And even if it was 2.8 million, that's a great audience size. You can then take the maybe 20 to 30 people that you've built on an email list and start to target those people as well. I've just found that making your own lookalike audiences tend to get you a much better person. You can test things like D7 Lead Finder or Lead Enforce or any kind of scraping tools. But the only thing that I hate about it is you don't truly know the source of all of them or how they're generating those leads. They're just scraping, but it could be old emails. And if they can't match it to a Facebook account, it kind of becomes not useful. So that's what I would recommend to do. If you're looking to make a lookalike audience and you don't know where to start, I'd recommend trying an engagement or just an engagement campaign, or some kind of a lead building tool, lead magnet, opt-in page, landing page, you could even do a Facebook lead form. Generate those leads yourself and then make a lookalike off of them. And then on top of that, you can email those people and they are very— they're so much more higher intent than say a D7 Lead Finder list or a list scraped from Lead Enforce. So that's what I would really recommend. So if you like this video, let me know. There is a free, 100% free community for you to join called the Predictable Profits Mastermind.
