Hello everyone and welcome to We Rise Wellness Podcast. Today I have Dr. Henna Asghar with me and I'm your host Neetu Mohanka. Dr. Henna, welcome to the program.
Thank you so much, thank you so much.
So Dr. Henna, you are an MBA, MSC, PhD, God knows what. So can you please guide us through, you know, your journey from being a you know, corporate professional to being a wellness professional now. We would love to hear that.
Definitely. Thank you so much, Neetu, for inviting me for this podcast. My name is Dr. Henna, and from 7 years I am practicing wellness program. I have done my MBA before, as you said, and I was working like everybody else is working. I was also in the same rat race because I don't know any clue where to go. So I also joined corporate after MBA because I wanted to be independent. So when I joined corporate and I was working like for 18 years into the corporate and, uh, you know, into different ladders and different experience, I work in India and Dubai also. And at one point of time, uh, my job and my life was becoming stagnant. It was like, uh, you know, I I was not ready to go to office. It was not motivating me to go to office. And I was also not motivated to go to, you know, apply for another job or take a promotion as well. Nothing was motivating me. So I was searching what is that something is missing in my life that is driving me crazy. In the beginning, like when I was young also, I was inclined towards wellness and psychology, but I didn't know that I will make a career in this. So I was exploring and I find out this particular tool which is called brain mapping. So when I took this test, I— it was a big, you know, revelation for me. And I found out that what are my skills and what I am doing here, there is total mismatch. So when I found out—
that was the tipping point for you to move out from your corporate job to getting into wellness full-time?
Direction. Firstly, there was a need, there was a space because I was saturated from that place. And second was the revelation. So when these two, both the frequency matched, the miracle happened. So, so I was looking for it and I found out. And since I found out and I wanted to do this, but I don't know how to start. Like for me, there are many other people who may be in the similar position, they want to quit their job but they don't know how, and they don't know the process, they don't know what are the tools available. So for me also, it was the same. So it was difficult for me to move out from the place where I was getting a handsome salary, and my whole situation was like, will be, if I choose this, it's going to be upside down. So I was taking time, I, you know, I was slowing the process, I was giving excuses to me that, okay, I have a loan, then I will do that. But at one point of time, it happened like a bang, and I left. Of course, there are roles for certain people in my life who has, you know, you know, motivated me to do so, and there was my calling as well. So at that point of time, I took a decision. I come back to India, and I started a company called LiveWire Empowerment, where we started with school and did a brain mapping, we get a huge response from the school because that was, I think, was needed at that time for the brain mapping. So we got a very good response from that, and since then we are doing it.
Great. Tell us more about this thing called brain mapping which made you finally move from your corporate job to here. This sounds very interesting. You would love to know.
Definitely, me too. And I think it's helpful for many people who are watching, and to many students as well as the adult also. This brain mapping is a unique process, the scientific process where we come to know the neuron distribution of the brain. As we know, there are two different brains, left brain and the right brain. So left brain has different function and the right brain has a different function. So when we do the balance of both this, the brain, left brain and the right brain, or both the energies, then the manifestation manifestation happen. If you do only logical things and we do not put a vision, then the manifestation doesn't happen. And vice versa also, if you have only vision and no logic, so the manifestation will not happen. So it's important to know the basics of your brain because brain is the tool which is going to take you from current state to desired state. So everything we are going to do with the brain. So If we don't know our brain configuration, I think it would be challenging for anybody. Like if I take an example of a mobile, if you go and buy a mobile, you see a lot of configuration in the mobile. Isme RAM kitna hai, isme memory kitna hai, iska camera kya hai, tak hi ham uska acche se istamal kar saken. But brain ke bare me kuch pata hai niyeto, iske istamal kaise karenge.
True.
So jaise mein example se samjati hun, jaise bachcha hai school mein, So definitely interpersonal skill, high dominant, improve. Or consulting or guidance, or including all who are, you know, related to these student, acceptance situation. So this, in this way, it can help be helpful to multiple, uh, ways to adults as well as children. To kiya motive hoga, kiya hamari personality hai, kiya unconscious patterns hai, toh iss se ye bhi pata chalta hai. Aur remedies bhi ham nikal sakhte hain. So I think this is the first step we can do, you know, to understand the brain, and accordingly we can do a program which is suitable afterwards.
So these programs are just for the children or for the parents and teachers? How does this work? If you could just walk us through this program, because this sounds very interesting because This might change a lot of students' lives. Kids are the future, right? So if you're working at that place, you're basically working for the future. So how does this work? We would really love to know.
Definitely, it is working for the kids because kids are somebody who doesn't have beliefs, which we need to, you know, change because they are building the beliefs. So it's easier for the kids to, you know, to do this, especially when the kids are under age of 25. From 5 years to 25, it is the best age to do this test. And for adults also, uh, because, uh, anybody who has a brain can do the test.
So when you're working with children, uh, does the parent— how much is the parent's involvement? Basically, I'm trying to say that, do they also have to undergo this you know, process of brain mapping, or it's just the children, and then there is an alignment between the parent and the children? Okay, this is what the results are.
Yeah, it's a very good question, Neetu, and I appreciate for that. Actually, parents are the key, you know, for students' development, because the— if the parents are not, you know, uh, are also, you know, have lot of emotional imbalances and their personalities are not balanced and they don't know about their behavior. So we have seen that unknowingly all the behaviors that is, you know, seen in the parents are transferred to the children because the children are, you know, the first, you know, uh, observing the parents only when they grow up. So they see, they see their parents as their heroes and they adopt multiple beliefs from the parents. So it's important for the parents to know and self-reflect themselves that what we are, you know, displaying or what we are, you know, showing the behavior to the children. So it's important for the parent to do this test so that they also know their, you know, brain and they are mindful about their behavior. I remember a case, uh, there was a lady who was complaining about her child. She was complaining to us that this girl, I asked her to sleep. The girl replied, Mommy, so actually it's a correct thing. Both are not listening to other because mother doesn't want her to sleep at night because she has other work to do. She doesn't want her to sleep at 9 because the girl want to sleep at 9, right? Because everybody is doing their own thing. So mother, so they are like doing their own things. So when we have this brain test, we are able to understand each other's personalities and behaviors and also how we can deal with that. So it's easier for to to, you know, it helps to bridge the gap, bring the bond. Yes, fill the gap. Correct.
So the brain test is done both for the child and for the parent?
It's advisable to do, uh, but if you want to, yeah, if you want to do a whole holistic healing for the whole family, then it's required to do for both of them. But at least for the child, it's really important to do.
So give us some examples of Henna that how going through this whole process brings about a change in their life. Like once they have been through this, you know, whole process, how does their life change? Do you have any stories to share?
Yes, definitely. Their life, uh, take a paradigm shift, uh, when they do this test. Because I said, for my example also, it was revelation to me and I changed my decision completely from one place to another place which was completely a different scenario. So similar things happen. There are people who have, uh, taken this test and they have— they were surprised, especially shocked to know about them that I have this, you know, uh, personality or this kind of intelligence in me. There was a girl whose parent was like, you know, pressurizing for her to be, you know, a medical doctor, to pursue NEET. And she doesn't want to. She was very good in linguistics and she was writing a poem, she was writing stories, and the parent didn't know. And the parent invited us to do the test for the girl. She was like 9th, 9th class. And when we went and did the test, we don't know anything about that because it was new to us. So we don't know what she is doing. But when we, you know, presented the report and the counseling of the, this report, uh, and, uh, the parents was shocked. And they says there was no, no probability, no intelligence was showing that, you know, is she is good candidate for, uh, you know, going for a medical or a need. And then, uh, this, this parent, this father, he called the girl and she came and she said, you are going to pursue you know, MBBS, right? And she said no. And when we revealed that, you know, she is interested in linguistics, and her father was shocked that she's writing poems. She told— she bring us the whole diary, and she bring the whole book that she has written a book.
Wow.
So his father was like, you know what, there was complete a big gap between, no, parent and the child. So father was thinking some other things for her, planning some other things for her, and the girl was planning something else, and they don't know because I think there was no communication.
Okay, wow. So many people, you know, discovery, right?
Yes. And, uh, there are a lot of parents, like after 10th, especially if you see in the school there is a big line of the parents. They want their, you know, their student, their children to take up the science. And that the school administration is difficult for them to, you know, to have so many students for a science in one class. And they want to deny, but the parents, you know, they are adamant that my son or my daughter should take up science. So there is a lot of pressure here, there are a lot of influence here, and there are a lot of, you know, influence in the name of peers, friends, society, and also to what you look up at the, you know, media. Also there's a lot of influence from there, so the child does not know where he has to go. So this test will definitely help to those students, to those children who are looking for direction, who are looking for the passion, who are looking or want to find the meaning in their life. So this test is going to— it's a powerful tool to help them, you know, to find their way. So I recommend this test to every student who is going through this confusion.
Wow, superb! So after the discovery, you know, after somebody has taken this test and they have discovered about themselves how the brain works, what should be the next step? I mean, do you facilitate the next step as well in, you know, making them comfortable with the idea of what they have found out and how do they like now plan their life?
Yes, definitely. After they found out their, you know, their brain configuration, like what is the plus point and what are the strengths they have What are the, you know, area of improvement they have? What are the personality they have? What kind of learning style they have? So we align all these together and the current interest as well. What are the current things which is going in the market? So according to the— what are the resources available, basically internal resources as well as the external resources. The brain mapping— through brain mapping, we will be able to know the internal resources, and through market exploration, we will be able to know the external resources that they have. And then even when we align these two resources and we do a profile matching after that, because profile matching is an exercise, it's a manual exercise after that. So where we, uh, no, match the skills of the current situation and the internal resources and the external resources, and when we match them, uh, it becomes even more stronger, you know, the direction becomes powerful and stronger. And then it is— it becomes easier for them because they know their resources now. And we take a help of NLP, neurological alignment, at this time because there are certain beliefs also which is there. So we need to work on that also after that. So through, through NLP and clinical hypnotherapy, we do certain remedies if there is— there are certain blockages in terms of identity or in terms of time management or communication. Or procrastination. So if these are due to some beliefs, we also work on that after that.
Okay, so ultimately, you know, after the whole program, they turn out with what kind of career they should adopt and which should be the way forward for them in terms of career. Am I correct?
Definitely, yes.
Wow, superb.
Career or purpose or passion, anything if it's related to career clarity, If it's related to finding life purpose or if it's related to igniting the lost passion also, it can be helpful in any area of the life.
Superb. So tell us a little more about Live Wire Empowerment. When did you start this? What is the, you know, mode of working? Who are the people involved? And, you know, how are you making a change in this world with Live Wire Empowerment?
Yes, thank you so much. As I told you, when I was in Dubai, I was working in corporate and then I was exploring the idea like where, what is my motivation? What is my life purpose? I came to know about this. And then we started this in 2017, and I start— we started in India. And we— I have a partner here who is my school friend also. We started together and he's still a part of this. And we expanded our team also. We have representative in different cities also, like, like Indore, like Delhi, like Trivandrum. And the people have joined us and they are finding this report definitely useful for the clients they have catered. And since then, uh, we are getting a positive response. We have conducted a lot of workshops, summer camps, winter camps, and school workshops. Uh, we recently— we have done a— like day before yesterday, we have gathered the emotional concerns of the students because a lot of emotional concerns are also bothering now, you know, and in students particularly. We see that, you know, bache goloko zada aggression ata hai, and they take a lot of, you know, external, you know, dependency, like koi log gan bilaki school mein aajate hai. They are showing their aggression actually. They want to show their aggression. It's like a cool thing for them. So we also want to address such things. Especially during, you know, when the starting of the puberty, like 12 years onwards. So there are a lot of hormonal changes that is happening during puberty. So we are addressing also those challenges for the teens and making them, you know, sense of responsibility we are building for them. So for that workshop we recently conducted also, it was a 3-day workshop and it was successful also. And a lot of people have joined and they have given us feedback, and we are very happy that it was, you know, successfully done. So for any kind of problem that the students face, we, you know, we are dedicated, you know, to guide them.
Right. So if somebody has to reach out to you, the schools or corporates who, you know, feel that— even corporate for that matter, you know, they have parents working for them and they're, you know, stressed about the children. So how can someone reach out to you for these workshops at their places, either school or workplace?
Definitely, yes. Yes, people can reach out to us. We have a profile on WhatsApp, we have Instagram, we have LinkedIn profile, and we have a website which is written like www.livewireempowerment.com. So you can reach out to us, you can connect us directly through WhatsApp. Numbers are there, all the numbers are there in the contact list, so you can directly contact for any queries that you have.
Superb. And, uh, Henna, some last piece of advice with your years of experience with working with both parents and children and schools, of course. So what is that thing that you think is something we really need to create awareness on and you would like to leave the audience with that.
Yes, yes, definitely. I want to say one thing, uh, in this workshop, which I feel, uh, it's very important because I was the one who faced also this, and I'm sure, uh, many others will face this. Because when we want to switch from current situation to the desired situation, there are a lot of self-doubt That can happen, and I'm sure everybody who wants to change the comfort zone and who wants to change their identity or the belief or their situation, they will face a lot of doubts and fear. So I want to say to all of these, whenever we have this self-doubt, whenever we have a, you know, sense of guilt or doubt. One thing just to remember, instead of criticizing ourselves, just shift to compassion. Like for example, how we treat our friends when they are in need, when they are in self-doubt, how do we, you know, how do we handle them? So the same thing, we have to be our friends. So instead of criticism, shift that criticism to compassion.
Wow.
So this is what I feel is important for everyone who are looking for a change and this doubt or fear that comes in. So just do this. It's very simple and it is easy, so just try it.
Superb! That's a, you know, a gem of an advice. Thank you, Dr. Henna, so much for coming to our show and talking about such an important topic today. This is something that would create awareness in parents and children both. And we would love to hear more from you in future. I hope through this podcast, right people are able to reach out to you and can get that help that they really want. Thank you so much for coming today, Dr. Hina.
Thank you so much, Neetu. You are such a sweetie for inviting me here. It's my pleasure always.
