Testimonial by Karpagam Gurunathan

In this recorded testimonial, Karpagam Gurunathan reflects on completing a nine‑week personal‑development coaching program. She describes how an initial impulsive decision to enroll, despite family financial concerns, led to a rapid career breakthrough—a new job offer within weeks. The coach’s emphasis on the "art of letting go" and "pattern breaking" helped Karpagam establish daily habits such as journaling, breathing exercises, and regular physical activity, which she now treats as non‑negotiable routines. These habits fostered improved mental wellbeing, restored confidence, and better relationships, allowing her to reconnect with her childhood joyfulness. She praises the coach’s responsiveness, the accompanying books (which she read quickly), and suggests offering NLP‑course concessions to attract more participants. Finally, she advises hesitant individuals to view such programs as an investment in mental health rather than an expense, emphasizing the interdependence of mental and physical wellbeing.
Chapters
Congratulations, Karpakam! Finally your 9-week program is over. How are you feeling about it?
I'm feeling great. So, uh, actually I need to thank you because at the verge of my, uh, very broken thing, I was met you. I don't know, it's something, uh, you called me. I was like not feeling to join the meeting also that day. Then you call me, then I joined, and that is the turning point of my career. So within a week or two weeks of time, I got a new offer, okay? Because I was working, so I just came out of this company, otherwise I've been there. So all that paved me— I've done my interviews very well. So these two months actually transformed me to a certain, a different level. So, and also I started my exercises and I've joined my, uh, HealthyifyMe so that I can start doing the exercise again after a year or so. And, um, and also in the mending the relationship, I'm still working on that. So that also, I know how to do that. So now, earlier it was like a so confused state, what to do. So I was like, because like very irritative, and it was like my behavior was so changed. I'm not that kind, but I was like changed again. I'm feeling that I'm coming back to my, uh, childhood, what I— when I was there. So I was like uh, like expressing myself, everything. I was a very jovial type. Because of my office stress, because of my relationship issues, I thought I was like dumped into a certain thing, so I couldn't come out of it. But after meeting you and with your various sessions, uh, it was like good that I, uh, I, I like— what I can tell, like, I can suggest this. So many people don't know. See, they are thinking the mental health, they are thinking only the health means you are taking care of your body. But taking care of your mental health will have a very good, like, impression on your health as well. So they are both interrelated, right? So I started a lot of reading, a lot of books already. I'll do it, but this kind of books, it's like I completed. And, and I want to congratulate you for writing such an awesome book. I completed those two books in one book in 3 hours, another book in 4 hours. So something like I've completed, I took it and then I completed it in a, in a day's time. So like I hooked to the books. So it's like I'm expecting more from you also.
Yeah, working on the third one. Hopefully it comes out soon. So when you first came to me, Karpagam, what made you actually sign up for the program? Because that was the first time you met me. What was it?
I don't know. That's what I also— I was like, I was like thinking why I want to do. And also the first time I'm just doing it without my concern of my husband.
Yes, it was an impulsive decision for you.
That's okay. He was asking me, uh, what are you doing with your money? He was like, because every time I, I, I gave everything to him. But the— for the 6 months I'm saving for my daughter's fees, so I, I can able to pull up some amount for for you to pay. But this is the first time I never told it. I was very transparent. But I know that if I tell, you won't be able to understand what I'm going through it. And so I, I thought, okay, let it be. It's— I'm earning so much, I can spend something like this, right? For this, my well-being.
So money well spent.
Yeah. Okay, that's what I was like thinking. I don't know why I I was like convinced. You also told me that you can take your subordinates, but I was very sticking. I just want you to— with you only need to, uh, that also like transformed me. And something is some, some connection, that's what I was feeling it. Otherwise we would not have been as a, as a good friend, right? And one thing is, I was— I don't have a person to talk like this also. That is also because I was like having a good friends in my— when I completed my M.Tech and I was very particular to one of my friend and I used to talk to him every day. We used to call and I was a stress buster. That's what he was. I called him on the day, I told him that I joined one life coach also. I'm just getting it. And then, oh, you don't have the stress buster right now to talk. That's what the reason he told me. I said, anyway, that's the thing because that kind of a connection I got it from you. Right. So that is the half time because that guy marriage happened, I, I completed my M.Tech, I don't have anyone to speak every day. And my— I already told you, my husband is not very friendly to talk like this. No normal conversations was very difficult. So if I get that from my friend and was like, when that friend has gone, so I, I couldn't control myself. That was the more most, uh, problematic also. I couldn't speak to someone who can— I can talk to my sister, but not like, uh, a friendly talk, not all that 100% I can talk to like I'm talking to you. I was very transparent to you, first of all.
Yeah, yeah.
So all the feelings I told you about my husband, about my friend, about my son, about my daughter. So I was like, I couldn't share. Maybe I can share 90% to my sister, but all that 99 to 95, 99 to 100% I can share to you. So that comfort I got from you. Yeah, so that was the thing.
Share with your family members, they are not the professional to help you and guide you with the process also, right?
They won't understand also. Yeah, yeah.
So what were those things that gave you this breakthrough? What was that, you know, that one shift that happened to you, something that gave you a breakthrough in this program? What was it?
Yeah, this, uh, art of letting go, like your Breaking the pattern.
Breaking the pattern. The pattern breaking worked a lot for me.
Yeah, pattern break, because that is the one, it's like holding you, holding you, holding you. So you, when, when I understood from you that this art of letting go or breaking the pattern is the key to have the upcoming successful life, even though I had a habit of writing journals and all, but this program, and one thing I wanted to tell you is that every day I'm following that techniques, Breathe in Negative writing negative. So I, I didn't do it for 2 days, and you said, oh, do it from fast. Why she's rude? Then I understood. So it has to be like, you should not— then I never missed till today's, what is the day? Earlier 10 days I've done, but that 2 days because of the marriage, family event, I break that one. I, I didn't take that seriously. But when you suggested it should not break even a single day, so I keep on following, like brushing my teeth, or taking a daily bath. So it is, it is happening, subconsciously is registered now. So when I wake up, this is my routine. When I wake up, I'll go and brush my teeth and I'll make my coffee, then make my bed, and then next thing is I'll do your work.
Yeah.
Okay, so I'll do that, uh, uh, that this— these are things and I have to do that. So this has started coming. So because of that, I'm just doing the exercise also. Now I have to put it in the consistency way. I had a similar, like a very, uh, pain on my leg, so I couldn't do continuously for 2 days. But I thought, man, in my subconscious mind is telling you have to do it. So that habit you created it, right?
Yeah, yeah.
So that is the good thing. So otherwise, no, I'll, I'll just write it for 10 days and I'll forgot, then there is no one to continue.
Yeah, but once you have completed that cycle of 9 weeks, no, so the brain develops that muscle. Of continuity of habit. So then you can stack on that habit and then build more habits according to it and be continuous with that. The magic is in doing something every single day. Yeah, and that is why it is important that you do not miss a single day. And that is when you need a support from, you know, someone who can help you, you know, get through to those 63 days.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So what feedback would you have for me, Kartpogram? Anything that I can improve on?
For you, I don't think nothing major. Anyway, you are very responsive. Whenever I feel something, I'll write to you. Very responsive. And your books are awesome. And, uh, yeah, you already suggested that NLP courses, maybe some concession will be there now, so you can focus on that so that you can get more, uh, people under you. So that will be the next thing.
Yeah, very good. Amazing, amazing. And anything, a word of advice for people who are hanging on the edge, are not signing up for such programs? Do you have any word of advice since you have completed the program now?
See, for them, it's their benefit only if they are joining. At least see, they are gaining so much for this, so they should invest It's like you're investing in your business. See, I'm getting one more idea on that. I can join the NLP, I can do a business. So that is an investment for me. So this they should consider as not a spent amount, spend— it should be an investment. So the mental well-being is so many— I think 99% of the people in this society, they are not concentrating, concentrating on the mental well-being like that. They are just concentrating on the health, and they can spend lakhs rupees on the like lavish parties and, uh, all that they will do. See, for their own mental well-being, so they have to invest something so that they are gaining, they are not losing anything, right? So that has to be there for the people.
Thank you so much, Kartpaka, man. You have been amazing. You got transformation so, so quick. I did not even expect that. And yeah, so we have been like working very, very quick, and you came every week. Some people, you know, take breaks, but whatever it was, you always made sure that you are there. And you completed the entire program in time. I think you're the first one who did that, completing the program in time within 9 weeks. So really kudos to you for that. And of course, our 6 months, you know, accountability check would keep going on after this. And I loved working with you. It has been a real, real pleasure. Thank you so much for connecting with me and making this happen.
Great. So I wish you a lot of success. I wish to be a part of you so soon. Yeah. Okay.
Thank you so much. Thanks, Kaarpakam.
