In this solo presentation, Nitu Mohanka argues that conventional affirmations often fail because they clash with a person’s underlying self‑identity. She explains that saying “I am abundant” while an inner voice still believes “I am not enough” creates internal conflict that blocks manifestation. To resolve this, she introduces the practical "I Am Method," a three‑step framework: (1) Identify the concrete desire (the "I want"), (2) Define the identity you would have if that desire were already part of your life (the "I am" statement), and (3) Determine the specific actions that the identified self would take. She emphasizes that identity shapes perception, decisions, and behavior, which in turn generate results. Nitu illustrates how to bridge large belief gaps with incremental, believable identity statements (e.g., “I am learning to trust myself” rather than “I am the most confident person”). The method also includes an embodiment component: daily practice of asking three questions—what am I creating, who am I becoming, and what would that version of me do today—followed by a single actionable step for seven days. Throughout, she shares her own journey from an "I am not enough" self‑image to a more empowered identity, showing how shifting internal narratives, not external achievements, drives lasting change. The video concludes with a call to subscribe for more content on manifestation, mindset rewiring, and conscious identity design.

What if your affirmations aren't working because you are trying to convince yourself of something your identity doesn't believe yet? You wake up and say, I am abundant, I am confident, I am successful, I am financially free, and then you go through your day thinking But what if I fail? I am not ready. People like me don't really do this. What if I lose my money? Who am I to want so much? So you have one voice saying, I am, and another voice quietly saying, no, you are not. And that is the part of manifestation that I think we don't talk about enough. Because manifestation isn't just about repeating a sentence, it's about the identity from which you are thinking, feeling, and making decisions. Today I want to introduce you to what I call the I Am Method and why changing the way you see yourself Can be much more powerful than simply repeating affirmations. Let's start with something very simple. There is a huge difference between I want to be financially free and I am someone who creates financial freedom. There is a difference between. I want to be confident, and I am confident person who trusts myself. There is a difference between I want a peaceful life, and I am someone who chooses peace. The first statement puts your desired life somewhere in the future. I want, which means I don't have it yet. The second statement begins to create a different identity. I am. Now, I'm not saying that simply saying I'm rich 10 times in the mirror will suddenly make money appear in your bank account. That's not what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about is much more practical. Your identity influences your decisions. And your repeated decisions influence your life. Think about 2 people who have exactly the same opportunity. One person thinks, this could work, let me explore it. The other thinks, people like me don't do this, it's too risky. I probably won't be able to do it. Same opportunity, different internal identity, and therefore very different behavior. One person takes the call, one person doesn't. One person applies, one person doesn't. This one person asks for the opportunity, The other stays quiet. One sees possibility, the other sees risk. And eventually, those small differences in behavior start creating very different lives. This is why I don't want you to think about manifestation only as, how do I attract what I want? I want you to Start asking, who am I being while I'm creating what I want? Because your identity becomes your filter. It influences what you notice, what you believe is possible, what you attempt, what you tolerate, what you say yes to, and what you say no to. and even what you think you deserve. Hmm. And I understand this personally. For a large part of my life, there was an identity sitting underneath everything I did: I am not enough. I didn't necessarily walk around consciously saying that every morning, but it Was there. I grew up hearing that I was a liability, and when you hear something like that repeatedly while growing up, it can become part of the way you see yourself. So what did I do? I studied. Then I studied more. I built a career. I tried different things. I kept learning. I kept achieving, and on the surface it looked like ambition, but underneath some of that ambition was, let me prove that I am enough. And here's the problem: if your identity is I need to prove myself, there is no finish line because there will always be someone more Successful. Someone more educated. Someone earning more. Someone doing something bigger. So you achieve something, you feel good for a while, and then the mind says, what next? I eventually realized that I couldn't solve an internal belief with an endless list of external achievements. I had to change the relationship I had with myself, and that changed the question. Instead of, how can I prove that I am enough? I started asking, what do I actually want to create? That's a completely different starting point. So let me give you a simple framework that you can actually use. I call it the I Am Method. Step 1: Identify the I want. Take something you want to create. Maybe it's money. Maybe it's a business. Maybe it's freedom. Maybe it's confidence. Maybe it's better health. Maybe it's a peaceful relationship. Write down, I want. For example, I want financial freedom. Now stop there and ask, why do I want this? Maybe your answer is, I want financial freedom because I don't want to worry about money. Good. Now go one level deeper. What would that give me emotionally? Maybe safety, or freedom, or choice, or peace. This is important because your goal is usually not the thing itself. You don't necessarily want money. You may want what you believe money will allow you to feel and experience. Step 2, define the identity. Now change the question. Instead of, what do I want? Ask, who would I be if this were already a natural part of my life? If you want financial freedom, maybe I'm someone who makes thoughtful financial decisions. If you want confidence, I am someone who trusts myself When I don't have certainty. If you want peace, I am someone who doesn't create unnecessary chaos in my life. If you want freedom, I am someone who consciously creates choices instead of always choosing from fear. Notice something— these aren't magical statements. They are identity statements, and that matters. Step 3, ask, what would I do? This is where manifestation becomes practical. If I say I'm someone who trusts myself, then what does that person actually do? Maybe makes the decision instead of asking 10 people for approval. If I say I'm someone who values peace, then maybe you stop saying yes to everything. If I say I'm someone who creates abundance, maybe you learn new skills, look at your finances, create opportunities, negotiate, build something, take calculated risks. The identity starts influencing behavior, and behavior creates the results. Now let's talk about affirmations. I don't believe affirmations are useless; they can be really helpful. But there's a problem when you're repeating an affirmation that your mind completely rejects. Imagine someone who has spent 20 years believing, "I am not good enough," and suddenly they stand in front of the mirror and say, "I am incredibly confident." The mind may respond, "Really?" And now they are fighting with themselves. Instead of forcing yourself to jump from "I am not enough." I am the most confident person in the world. Try creating a bridge. For example, I am learning to trust myself. It's becoming safer for me to be visible. I am capable of learning new things. I am allowed to want more. I can become the person who creates this life. These statements may feel more believable, and once a belief becomes believable, you can start practicing it. And this brings me to the most important part of the I Am Method: embodiment. Don't just say, I am confident. Ask, how does a confident version of me behave today? Don't just say, I am abundant. Ask, how does someone who believes there are possibilities make decisions? Don't just say, I am peaceful. Ask, what would the peaceful version of me stop doing? Maybe you stop overexplaining. Maybe you stop constantly seeking approval. Maybe you stop saying yes when you want to say no. Maybe you stop making every decision from fear. That's embodiment. Your identity becomes real through repeated choices, not one affirmation, not one vision board. Not one manifestation ritual, but the small decisions you make repeatedly. So here's something I want you to try for the next 7 days. Every morning, ask yourself 3 questions. Question 1: What am I creating? Not just what do I want— what am I consciously creating? Question 2: Who am I becoming? Choose one identity. Maybe calm, confident, abundant, free, healthy, courageous. And question 3, what would that version of me do today? And choose one action, just one, because the goal isn't to pretend that you're already living your dream life. The goal is to start giving your mind and your behavior evidence of the person you are becoming. And maybe this is the biggest shift I want you to take away from this video: stop thinking only about what you want to manifest. Start thinking about who you are becoming while you create it. Because your dream life isn't just a destination. It's a reflection of the thoughts you practice, the beliefs you carry, the choices you make, and the identity you embody. And I want you to remember something: you don't have to become someone completely different. You may simply need to let go of Some of the beliefs that have been telling you who you are allowed to be. So I leave you with one question: if you had nothing to prove, nobody to impress, and nothing to fear, who would you choose to become? And perhaps that's where your real manifestation journey begins.
