Omar Zenhom explains that people who excel at their craft enjoy the work itself, not the results. Those chasing metrics and audience growth tend to quit when things get hard and jump to whatever trend is easiest, like TikTok.
What is, like, the common thread that you found from people that are just amazing at what they do. They enjoy the process, not the results. I always know if somebody's talking about how they're going to build an audience, I'm like, this person's screwed. Because as soon as they see how hard that is, they're just going to be like, no, thanks, and they're going to move on to, like, TikTok or something. But if they're talking about how much your download numbers and then just like, never look at the analytics because you don't care, that's a person who's probably going to succeed in this game.
