Short excerpt from a YouTube interview (Omar Zenhom) where two speakers recount selling a house and moving to a shed. They debate why they didn’t take a job or quit, concluding that a certain level of delusion or unrealistic faith is required for entrepreneurs to take leaps of faith and persist when there is no evidence they will succeed.

When you're in that moment where you told Matt, we got to sell the house, we got to move to the shed, we're not going to be able to live the life that we were living. Why did you not just get a job?
Oh, because that would be worse.
Why did you just not see that as, oh, I failed, this is over. I need to just cut my losses.
Good question. I mean, did it ever cross your mind?

I think it's required sometimes. Yeah. And I think. I think that I enjoy little crazy in my friends because I think it's required to be able to take some leaps of faith. You have to have some level of faith that you can do something that you can't see. And that's delusion.
Yes.
There's no evidence that you can do this, but then how are you going to get anything done?
