Time is the only non-renewable resource. You can make more money, you can rebuild a reputation, you can even recover from almost any setback in life, but you can't get back a single second of your time. This is a truth that changed everything for me. When you really absorb it, not just intellectually, but viscerally in your bones, every hour you spend on something that doesn't align with who you want to be is an hour you're spending on someone else's agenda. Someone else's needs. Your job is to covet your time because you can't get more of it. I just turned 46. I will never be 45 again. I will never be 40 again. I will never be 20 again. It's over, okay? I only have today. I only have what is given to me. There is a certain number of minutes and hours that is called my life. I don't know what that number is, but I can't get any more. Guard your time like it's the most valuable possession, because it is. Please don't kill time, because killing time is basically killing your life. It's killing parts of your life that you will never get back.
