This is a YouTube video titled "Pablo Gonzalez shares his fastest tools to building CREDIBILITY" containing a monologue or talk by Pablo Gonzalez recorded in July 2025. In this content, Pablo Gonzalez discusses strategies for building credibility, emphasizing the importance of being on a stage and the concept of guilty by association through sharing platforms with credible individuals.
In my experience, the two fastest tools to credibility are number one, a stage, and number two, guilty by association. I think that if you are encounter somebody and the first time that they meet you, you're on a stage, right? Or anytime somebody sees you on a stage, the brain justifies what it sees. So it says if this person is presented to me in a, in a position of value, I need to attribute value to what they're saying, right? So key thing here is that a live stage obviously has that effect, but so do screens, right? Like anytime somebody finds themselves consuming your content on their phone or on their TV or reading it, right? Like think about the affinity that you have for authors of books that you've read just because you've spent eight hours, nine hours consuming it and that it's valuable. So I think a stage is a very key component to that. And then two is guilty by association, right? So my big aha moment came when I was asked to go take my CEO spot at a panel for Smart Cities in the Economic Development Agency of Miami. And when I got there, I shared the stage with like the head of Latin America for Cisco Systems and the head of the Smart Cities Initiative for the World Bank. And when I came off the stage, there was like six people deep waiting to talk to me. And it was, it was that, right? Like, it was the fact that I was on a stage and they were in the audience and it was that I was guilty by association based on these people that I was on the stage with, right? So what I would encourage anybody that's trying to build credibility is to put out content where they are sharing a stage with people that have credibility, right? So like whatever you care about, get into as many public conversations on Clubhouse or on a Zoom Call or anything that you are recording where you are in a stage and there's an audience that is consuming what you're saying in a stage to audience relationship. And if you can be sharing that stage with people that have credibility, be it, you know, people that have 20 more years and all you're doing is interviewing them, you know, the brain still justifies it as seeing you on a stage and being guilty by association on it. So that's my two cents.
