Jamie Shad Bentinger of Acuva Technologies makes UV-LED water disinfection systems for safe drinking water. At WEFTEC 2019 in Chicago, he found strong venture-capital interest and explained how point-of-use disinfection fills a gap that municipal treatment doesn't cover.
Thanks for joining us again. We are at the end of day two here at WaftTech in Chicago and I'm here with Acuva Technologies. Acuva, how do you want to give us a brief introduction to who you are, what you do, and how you found weftech? Day two at weftech so far?
Absolutely. Thank you. So my name is Jamie Shad Bentinger. I'm with Akiva Technologies and we're a UV LED water disinfection system design and manufacturing company. So we purify water, make safe drinking water and we're enabling clean drinking water globally. Weftech has been a surprisingly great event for us. Mostly the venture capital investment community is all here and there's a huge interest in new technologies like ours. So it's actually really interesting to see the great feedback that we're getting from this community. And also just generally this industry has their fingers in lots of different parts of the industry. So water is quite complicated. This is a focused event for wastewater and municipal treatments, but there's still a place for point of use water disinfection company like ours just because of our new technology and really the bright future this kind of technology has for the water treatment industry.
Fantastic. Thank you very much. Uvled as we know are a fast moving technology area and we're certainly tracking that at BlueTech and we'll continue to track with Kuva and the other players in that space also. So enjoy your final day at westech and hope all goes well for you. Thank you very much. Thanks very much. We are having.
