Peter Winick argues that chasing hacks like timing posts or exploiting algorithm changes delivers only short-term wins. Real growth comes from building systems and processes. He maps out a keynote delivery end-to-end, from pre-sale to post-sale follow-up, to show how deliberate operations reduce friction and eliminate luck.

Hi there, it's Peter Winick. I'm the founder and CEO at Thought Leadership Leverage, and here's the thought that I want to share with you today, and that's this: are you trying to hack your way to success as opposed to developing, implementing, installing, and managing the proper systems and processes in your business? What do I mean by this? In my conversations pretty much on a daily basis with world-renowned authors, speakers, academics, and thought leaders, many are looking for the latest hack. Oh, I heard LinkedIn changed a preference or an algorithm and you should post 3 times a day or only in the morning or use this hashtag. And those are fine from a tactical perspective, but what I don't hear enough of is, I'm going to make a concerted effort to do an analysis of my business strategically and see where I need to install the proper systems and processes to ensure continued success. So let me give you an example of this. You're about to deliver a keynote, a workshop, whatever the case may be. You need to have a very detailed system and process map that says what happens every step of the way from the presale to the sale to that period post-sale before you've delivered. Then you deliver the program. What are the follow-up steps and what are the next action items, etc.? And that should run, quite frankly, like a well-oiled machine. Hacks are great and tactics are great if they can get you a little bit of a boost or an insight into a particular platform, but quite frankly, it's the installation of the proper systems and proper processes in the right places in your business that will ensure the growth that you're looking for and reduce the frustration, the friction, the dependence on serendipity and luck. Love to hear your thoughts.
