Client Discusses Working with Peter Winick - Thought Leadership Leverage

A client hired Peter Winick after learning about his work through Keith Frazee's wingman philosophy. Peter gave candid feedback that exposed blind spots and sharpened the client's strategic focus, helping them prioritize initiatives and think beyond speaking engagements to scale the business.
Can I put you on the spot a second? Because you've worked with him, Waldo. How was that experience? What did you— It was the best of my life. Yeah. What did you walk away with at the end of the day? And not Peter specifically, but somebody else looking at your business candidly and saying, here's what I think you have, here's what you don't have, here's what you gotta stop doing, here's what you gotta do more of.
You know, the reason why we're here is the relationships that we get and the perspectives. You know, we all have our blind spots. And I hired Peter, number one, because I knew him before. I worked with Keith Frazee a little bit when he came out with his book, Never Eat Alone, or actually it was Who's Got Your Back? Who's Got Your Back? We talked about the wingman philosophy and Pete did some work with him. And Pete's a giver. He gave me a lot of value. I got to know him and he's a lot smarter than me, although not quite as good-looking, but he'll argue with that. And I got a ton out of it. We spent the day together and he really, really provided me perspectives that I didn't think I had. And he often— and he got me— he sharpened my vector and really got me honed in on some key focuses.
What did you do with that strategy? What have you done with that sense? Because, again, you do a lot of speaking, but you're trying to find other ways to scale your business.
Number one, what we did as far as my intellectual property, we focused on the word commitment, which is part part of the— and helped me restructure my keynote and my workshops. And more importantly, it allowed me to come up with a better tool for delivering the content through an online training program. So I didn't work with Peter on this, but I hired a company to do an online virtual training program, video assessments, et cetera. So I invested in that, and I know that's where I need to go to kind of get that B2C space and also the B2B space. I work mostly with companies, so— and Pete's really great on the corporate side, so he And he gave me some ideas on how to take the intellectual property and turn it into a different deliverable other than just my keynotes. And we're just getting started. We'll be working more again as well, but it's been great. Thank you for that.
