So let me just throw out some random formats. They're not random, but a couple of formats of content that you need to be thinking about. And here's where some of you need to pause for a minute and say, listen, if I'm in the content business and I am a thought leader and an author, what does that mean? That means, quite frankly, that you are best in class at what you do, that you have something to say And it's valid. It's either valid because you practice it. It's valid because it comes out of academia. It's valid because you've led something to do it. It's not just because you said so. What it doesn't mean is you have to be an expert in social media. It doesn't mean you have to be an expert in product development. It doesn't mean you have to be an expert in instructional design. So with that in mind, I'll take you through a couple pieces here. But filling in the blanks of what you need is easy. What can't be replaced is the thought leadership. and the idea generation and the content that you guys each possess. And where I see most of you struggle is you try to do stuff that is sort of outside what you should be doing, which is being great at what you do, and get frustrated on integrating your Twitter account into a WordPress theme, you know, and, right? How many have done that, right? That's a lot of fun. Is that what you want to be doing when you get up? No. Right. So let's get away from that.
