Britanny Onstead argues that recruiters and team members need a "weekend-proof" mindset: work doesn't pause for weekends or holidays. Success demands relentless effort, clear communication about problems and incentives, and personal relationships that show you actually care.
Zenny's not gonna be like, mom, it's the weekend, I don't have to do my homework, right? We do it when we have time. It's the same thing with your recruits. If you wanna win here, you can't take days off. You have to keep going. It doesn't matter if it's a weekend, it doesn't matter if it's a holiday, if you can do it, do it, okay? Communicate. Communicate if there's a problem, communicate expectations, communicate incentives, and build relationships to show people you care, right? How many times did you hear about personal relationships here? All weekend, that's all Bill Whittle talked about. So you have to get good at communicating.
