If you struggle with fatigue, bloating or stubborn belly fat, your liver might be crying for help. Stick around because number three is something almost everyone does daily. Bad habit number one Eating too much processed sugar. You might think sugar just affects your weight, but excess sugar, especially fructose, overloads your liver, turning into fat and increasing your risk of fatty liver disease. This is why millions of people, even those who do not drink alcohol, develop liver problems called non alcoholic fatty liver. Replace sodas and processed snacks with whole foods and water to give your liver a break. Bad habit number two Drinking too much alcohol. We all know that, right? We all know alcohol is bad for liver. But did you know even moderate drinking can lead to liver inflammation, scarring and eventually liver failure? Limit alcohol intake, hydrate with lots of water and try liver supporting drinks like lemon water or milk thistle tea. Bad habit number three Consuming too many artificial sweeteners. Think diet sodas and sugar free products are safe? Think again. Artificial sweeteners like aspartame sucralose. These force your liver to process unnatural chemicals leading to liver stress and finally insulin resistance. Fix it. Use natural alternatives like raw honey, stevia or monk fruit even for a healthier Choice. Bad habit 4 overloading on painkillers and medications. Your liver is responsible for filtering out toxins, but overusing medications, especially acetaminophen. I know a lot of people just keep popping them in can cause severe liver damage. In fact, excessive painkiller use is one of the leading cause of acute liver failure. Fix it. Use pain relief alternatives like turmeric. The curcumin in turmeric is amazing. Magnesium and hydration instead of popping pills frequently. Bad Habit 5 Eating Too Many processed foods and fried foods. Junk food is loaded with trans fat, preservatives and excessive salt which make your liver work overtime. Over time, this leads to fatty liver disease and inflammation. Fix it.
