YouTube video by Puneet Nanda titled "Fluoride’s Dark Secret No One Wants You to Know!" (uploaded Sep 27, 2024). The speaker reviews claimed advantages of fluoride (helps prevent tooth decay, strengthens enamel, can reverse early decay), outlines perceived disadvantages and controversies (historical water fluoridation, possible links to bone/thyroid issues, neurodevelopmental concerns, dental fluorosis), and gives a personal stance: he currently favors hydroxyapatite toothpaste (his Guru Nanda product) over regular fluoride use while urging viewers to research and consult their dentist.

Chapters
The number one debate today between liberals and conservatives may be something else, but to my knowledge, it is fluoride. I'm not. I'm just kidding. So fluoride has become a huge issue in dental wellness. There's two sides fighting with each other. And I'm going to actually give you the advantages of fluoride. The disadvantages of fluoride, my personal opinion, and I let you be the guru of your own wellness. So let's get it going. So, number one, advantages. You know, our teeth are very important part of your own body. And fluoride is an integral part of most of the toothpastes available in the United States. Now, why fluoride? Because fluoride ion has had many studies where it has actually shown that fluoride helps prevent tooth decay. Why? Because there's a full video I'll be doing on how fluoride does that. Number two, it also helps strengthen tooth enamel. And number three is it helps reverse early signs of decay of the tooth. Most of the good claims of anti plaque, anti gingivitis and all the good stuff can only be attained if you actually add fluoride to your toothpaste, because that is in the monogram, as per fda. Now, if, in case you do not have fluoride, you can't claim all those claims. Unfortunate but true. Now let us go on the other side. What are the disadvantages of fluoride? Fluoride was invented in 1940, maybe earlier, but really got into business in 1940. And Crest was the first toothpaste with fluoride in 1955. Now, the disadvantages of fluoride are that our government in 1945 thought it is pure, probably best to add fluoride in the water system. I wasn't born. So you guys decide. 1945, since then, most of the states added fluoride in the water, so you automatically get fluoride. So that. Because they're certain that this could actually help with lessening the tooth decay in the general population. Now, once it was in the toothpaste in 1955, and practically every other toothpaste adopted it. And every dentist, every association like ADA really, really, really has been professing fluoride since last seven decades. So that said, what are the disadvantages possible? Fluoride recently has been in controversy because there's been a lot of studies where fluoride has been shown that it could actually contribute to bone and thyroid issues. Osteopenia. Fluoride poisoning is a huge problem because there's a little warning sign on the toothpaste that says if consumed in excess, you have to go contact the poison control center. That is because fluoride is rat poison. So if it is in a specific quantity, which, which is allowed by the fda, it's okay. If it is more than that, absolutely no. Now there's also been studies where it has shown to cause problems like dementia, problems at low IQ in kids, all of those things. Last but not the least, fluoresces like the white spots you'd see on the teeth. That's also something that is a problem. Now let me give you my opinion. And my opinion means nothing because don't form your opinion based on my opinion. That's how I flow my YouTube videos to you. I give you advantages, disadvantages, my opinion and let you be the guru of your own wellness. So my opinion is certain times fluoride is okay to use. So I personally lately have not been using it because Guru Nanda came out with a product with hydroxyapatite which I think is an amazing, amazing replacement to fluoride. But that's my opinion. Prior to that when I did not have my own toothpaste and the hydroxyapatite and a lot of toothpaste that they were claiming was so little that I wasn't satisfied because I tested it and I felt not happy. Nano hydroxyapatite is again something that I absolutely would not want to put in my map. I also saw a few studies in Europe. It is actually being on the verge of getting banned because nano hydroxyapatite could have potential future problems. Would it be 100%? I don't know. Do I think so? Yes, I do. So I'm using hydroxyapatite right now. But I used to use fluoride at least two, three times a week and then another rest of the times I would use the hydroxyapatite toothpaste. Right now I'm using just the guru Nanda hyraxyapetite toothpaste. You don't have to follow me, please. And now giving you the opportunity to be the guru of your own wellness. I personally think you should study the benefits, study the advantages, consult with your dentist and make your own decision. Let me know in the comment section. What do you think about it?
