You've Gotta See this Las Vegas Breakfast Spot | Early Birds

In this food‑vlog, hosts Josh and Rachael Fillbrandt visit Early Birds, a breakfast‑and‑brunch restaurant located about 15 minutes off the Las Vegas Strip. They were drawn by the restaurant’s strong social‑media presence and decide to sample a range of menu items while noting prices, portion sizes, and presentation. The video walks through the menu layout, highlighting $10 weekday pancakes, $4.50 bottomless coffee, $23 bottomless mimosas, and a variety of dishes priced $12‑$18. They try country‑fried chicken with bacon‑fat smashed potatoes, a light‑battered chicken breast, a bagel breakfast sandwich served in a paper bag, a cereal‑milk pancake (strawberry cinnamon toast crunch flavor), and a lemon‑poppy‑seed pancake with blueberry compote. They comment on the light, fluffy texture of the pancakes, the creamy sausage‑flavored gravy, and the appealing plating. The hosts also mention the bar’s cocktail selection and the value of the coffee and mimosa deals. A mid‑roll sponsor spot promotes the travel‑booking platform Plannin. The vlog concludes with a positive recommendation, noting the bright ambiance, generous portions, and overall cost‑effectiveness (approximately $66 before tip for the meal).

Good morning everybody, I'm Josh.
And I'm Rachael. You threw me off.
I know.
Uh, today we went off strip to try out Early Birds because we saw it on social media and we felt like we have to check this out.
Yeah, their social media input just for this restaurant alone is impressive. Like, they do a really good job.
I feel like the food looks like it's straight out of a cartoon.
It does.
Let's see how it tastes.
Let's go.
All right, as you would guess, it's beautiful in here.
It is very pretty and very bright.
It's interesting that I was talking about cartoons because they actually have cartoons on. Oh man, Doug. Did you watch Doug?
No, I don't think so. Oh yeah, I maybe did.
Tim and Patty Mayonnaise behind you. But anyway, uh, we are just going for coffee this morning, but you can see they do have a bar so you can get some drinks for around $15. It looks like they do have some High Noon seltzers, spiked coffees.
They also have a bottomless mimosa on Saturday through Monday. Which is a pretty good deal for $23.
Yeah, that's a pretty decent deal. That's a pretty decent deal.
Pretty cheap, actually.
And then coffee bar, which they have bottomless coffee for $4.50. We're gonna take advantage of that. But this is the reason why we're here. Pancakes is what they're most known for. You can see, um, all the prices are listed, but on Monday through Thursday right now they're doing $10 pancakes. So we're probably gonna get 2 of those, but they look very dessert-ish, so we'll probably do that as a second course. But you can see they also have waffles, French toast in the $12 to $13 range. There you can see some biscuits and gravy. I love biscuits and gravy, but I think I should stay away from it because we're doing pancakes. But yeah, everything's about $12 to $15, it looks like, and the menu is huge. They do have a breakfast sandwich, or several of them, for like $12 to $18. Omelets in the $15 to $17 range. Some Eggs Benedict, some classic dishes like steak and eggs, croque madame. Looks like a bagel with salmon. Chicken and waffles looks awesome online. So does the breakfast burrito. Probably get at least one of those. Country fried steak, they said they do not have today. I already asked about that one. And then the skillets. And it keeps going. They also serve— because they are a breakfast and lunch place, so they have some salads as well as some other sandwiches. But I think we're going to try sticking to breakfast. But you can see all the prices are relatively cheap in the $12 to $18 range.
They are.
And then there's your side dishes for about $5, it looks like. And then a soda for $4. But it looks good. Alrighty. Alright, our first time here and Rachael's already going off menu.
I did. Well, I was gonna go for like, uh, country fried steak and eggs, but they were out of the country fried steak. So they did say there was country fried chicken, so I went with that with some gravy, added a scrambled egg on top. But they have these bacon fat smashed potatoes, and I think I'm gonna have to try one of those first. Yeah, that's a good breakfast potato. Wow. Nice crispy. Oh, I don't taste a lot of bacon fat. I don't know that you're supposed to, but it's a nice crispy potato. Let's do some of this chicken here too.
Is it just salt on there? I can see—
Yeah, just salt.
Healthy amount of salt on that.
Um, oh, look at how thin that chicken breast is cut out, and it seems very light and crispy.
Wow.
I love how light that batter is on there. It really adds to the chicken that it doesn't make it feel super heavy. I was really worried, especially after seeing the bacon fat potatoes, that this was going to be a super heavy meal, but it isn't. Man, that is tasty. But look at this, you guys. There's 2 huge chicken pounded out chicken breasts on here.
That is a lot.
That's a big serving.
How's the gravy?
Nice, creamy, um, sausagey.
I want more.
Like, I want to douse that in there, but it's a really good gravy. And again, a scrambled egg is a scrambled egg, but this is delicious. I would highly recommend going off the menu for this one.

All right, uh, so this is— this is some cute plating. Yeah, also it's like the paper plate. So bodega bagel sandwich.
But Josh's comes out in a brown bag like he's just getting served.
It's a bagel sandwich, but it looks cute in the bag.
It does look cute. I like the serving on it, and we are suckers for like an everything bagel, and that looks like what the— what Yeah, that's what it is.
So everything bagel comes with cheese, egg, sausage, and hash browns.
Ooh, the hash brown on there is unique.
Yeah, so let's try it. The cheese is really strong and nice and ooey gooey, but also that hash brown, it does give that extra level of crisp. It's very good.
I love the presentation itself. You talk and like—
Super cute.
It is something what we talked about The reason why we're here is because of social media, and that is a presentation in itself. Yeah.
Also, the coffee. It's a nice, just regular medium roast, but the fact that it's gonna be unlimited, I think is fantastic.
I agree with that. It's a good starter there.
Yeah, I think, uh, let me give one more bite of this.
I'm so excited. I— we, like, I'm not kidding you when I say we eat bagel sandwiches on the regular at home. We do.
Yeah, no, this is just a fantastic breakfast sandwich.
Good.
This is the reason we're here.
And those look fantastic. That looks just like why we wanted to come here.
Yeah, they said that, uh, this is the most popular item. It is the lemon poppy seed. We'll get to that next, but first—
So this is cereal of the week, and this is a strawberry cinnamon toast crunch, and then cereal milk.
Yeah, it's like actual cereal milk.
It is. Oh my gosh, that's crazy. It even makes me want to—
This is going to be interesting.
That's going to be so good.
Okay. They are so big and fluffy.
They are.
Wow.
It looks like it's going to be dense and heavy, but it's so light and fluffy. The part that's just blowing my mind right now is the crunchiness from the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Offers a nice balance. I don't notice anything major with the milk. I'm sure it has just something to do with the fact that it's the cereal of the week. I like that pancake.
Softens things up, I'm sure. Keeps it from being dry.
Yeah, that's a really, really good classic pancake. Buttery, like I said, light and fluffy. Not heavy at all. I'm sure by the time we get through 4 of these things, they'll be heavy.
Yeah.
Initial bites, it does not taste heavy at all.
And when you were gone, the waitress did try to talk me into getting the cereal drink. She said it's amazing.
I mean, I did see a couple cocktails come out, and I'm like, man, those are pretty. Yeah.
Now that we've had a little bit of coffee, we might need a cocktail to get us back on.
Yeah. All right.
So I just tried that cereal pancake, and one thing I definitely noticed was that the Cereal milk is warm because I was initially like, oh, is that just gonna make it cold? Nope, it doesn't. And it just works. It doesn't make sense, but it works. All right, so here's— this is the thing that we first saw on Instagram and said we gotta get there.
And I love a lemon blueberry combination. It's one of my favorite flavor combinations ever.
So let's try this lemon poppy seed with some blueberry compote, I believe.
Yeah, looks like a nice lemon curd as well. Same style pancake.
So yeah, I think the pancake is probably the same, but it's just a topping that's different. But like you said, it's— it looks thick, it looks dense.
Yeah, it looks like it's going to be so filling. I'm sure it's going to be filling anyhow, but true, it's, it's lighter than I would imagine.
Yeah, I really enjoyed it, and they're That lemon curd is so strong.
Oh good, I'm always afraid it's not gonna be strong enough.
Yeah, if I'm ordering lemon, I want to know I'm eating lemon.
Yep, agreed.
And you definitely know it with this. This is good, but are we getting a cocktail?
I think that needs to be an executive decision we make here shortly.
Let's see what happens, but these are fantastic. We just got done, and one thing I will say that was awesome is that $4.50 cup of coffee because she also gave Gave us some to-go's.
Yeah, so that was worth it.
Absolutely got our money's worth there. This is about 15 minutes off the Strip, so if you're thinking about coming here, uh, what did you think?
I loved it. I loved the pancakes. I loved the service. The ambiance in there is really cool as well. It's bright, it's cheery. I will tell you, by looking at it, there were 17 different flavors of pancakes. We only did 2. I would probably do at least 12 more.
Those pancakes are filling though. Watch yourself.
Yeah. Especially when you're talking $10 pancakes Monday through Thursday, that's pretty impressive. And then they also had probably 17 specialty cocktails, which we should come back and try eventually too.
Right. And all total, I think we were like $66 before tip, which for the amount of food we got, I think that was fantastic.
And I will say, I was talking to Josh about this right before, is the presentation of his Breakfast sandwich.
That was so cute.
It's so cute. Like, I just loved that piece of it. It's something that'll stick in my head even though it was a breakfast bagel sandwich.
Yep.
It was good.
