In this episode of the Dad Starting Over podcast, the host addresses men who repeatedly find themselves in relationships with "broken" or unhealthy women. He argues that the root cause lies in the men's own unresolved emotional and mental issues, describing many as "broken little boys" who need professional help. He promotes the Help for Men Brotherhood—a community offering private forums, live Zoom meetings, one‑on‑one coaching, courses, and in‑person meetups—as a supportive environment for men to stop handling these problems alone. The host strongly recommends therapy, emphasizing that seeking a competent therapist is a sign of strength, not weakness, and that overcoming personal dysfunction will improve all areas of life, including the ability to recognize and avoid toxic partners, ultimately leading to healthier romantic prospects. The tone is conversational, persuasive, and empathetic, with a supportive yet urgent sentiment encouraging immediate action.

Men, do you know why you keep connecting with really effed up women? The easiest knee-jerk answer to that question is, well, because all women are fucked up, right? No, they're not. Sorry, dude. I know a lot of you watching this were hurt by women, a woman or multiple women, a great deal. And one of the biggest ways men can lash out at women to pay them back for all the hurt that they've caused them is to say women at their core, by virtue of their nature, are terrible human beings. I get the sentiment, but it's wildly immature and it's very unhealthy. The reason, dudes, that you keep connecting with unhealthy women in your life is because you are unhealthy yourself. Mentally, you got some shit going on between the ears that you need to work out. Basically, a lot of you are very broken little boys going through life, and you're lost, and you need some help big time. My recommendation is to go to therapy It doesn't make you any less of a man. I know there are a lot of shitty therapists out there. Not all of them, just like not all women are shitty. Not all therapists are shitty. You find one that's shitty, you fire them and you go to the next one. There is one or two or more out there that you can connect with at a good level, and they have the key to unlocking a lot of bad stuff, getting to the bottom of it, and figuring out where all this went wrong and what you can do to fix it. Once you get to the bottom of what's really going on here, you'll notice that this toxicity has kind of permeated everything in your life, your work, your friends, and yes, your romantic relationships. Once you get to the bottom of it, you will notice things start to smooth out. And yes, you will have better romantic partner candidates just seemingly pop out of the woodwork. And it's not because they are suddenly recognizing that you're healthy now. It's just that your radar is better. Your picker is better. You don't even give the toxic women the time of day. They're almost invisible to you now, and suddenly a whole new world opens up to you.
