Ray Deck argues that real learning needs both depth, from long written works, and dimensionality, from interactive methods like debates and AI conversations. Writing something long doesn't count if nobody reads it.

How do you make learning interdimensional? I talk about the two Ds, which are depth and dimensionality. And you know, like you get depth from, you know, the written word by reading things that are long, essentially. And you get depth without the written word through dimensionality, through interacting with, getting it to have more, you know, ideas are shutting off in different directions. This is where like using bots to debate ideas, right, to come to the kinds of work we do in terms of interacting with AI, I think that's also about dimensionality, getting it to come up with different thoughts and work with those in ways that we might not have previously. All of that, to my mind, like, if you are creating big walls of text you're not reading, then you're not creating dimensionality. What you want to do is find new ideas, new ways that you're going to work with these notions and these problems, And when you do, you get higher dimensionality and you get the benefit of speed.
