If you are looking for ways to optimize your mental wellness, you've come to the right place. I am Rebecca silence, emotional healing and relationship coach here with five things that you can do starting now, to begin the process of changing your wellness and changing your life. Step one is radical responsibility. And what I mean by that is knowing the difference between what you are responsible for and what you're not is game changing. When it comes to your mental wellness, you are responsible for how you feel and how you experience life and what you do with you in the moments that aren't feeling well for you. You're responsible for knowing that in any moment you can create a life that is well for you, even in situations and circumstances that are not ideal. What you're responsible for is what other people do or just the big outcomes and circumstances in general that you're finding yourself facing. Remember that you have the ability to be who you want to be and the best of who you are, anytime, any moment, always. Step two is to remember that you are always at choice, meaning you have available to you all the time. Not just most of the time or some of the time, but all the time, which direction you're going to go with your choices. They can either be powerless, which will have you feeling drained and powerless, choices typically never end well, or you can be brave enough to realize and remember that you have the ability to powerfully choose in any moment, any time. What I mean by powerful choices, Powerful choices energize you and have you knowing that you're in control of what you actually have control over and that you absolutely took responsibility back to step one for being the best you you could be in that moment. You are never just at the effect of life. And when we feel like we have no choice and when we feel like we're at the effect of life, it feels powerless and we will become automatically more and more mentally unwell. So to take your power back, remember you're a choice and you always get to choose powerfully, whatever that looks like for you. Step three is practicing impeccable self care. Now what's really important here is that you know the difference between what you think self care should look like and what actually takes care of you. There are ways that you can practice self care that feel good to you, that take care of you, that honor you, that maybe aren't that standard or cookie cutter norm that we're taught self care should be. I don't want you worrying about what self care should look like. I want you learning what self care means. And looks like for you now. And I want you to identify at least one to three ways that you know that you can and will take care of yourself every day, that have you going to bed at night actually genuinely feeling taken care of. It could be how you move, how you eat, how you sleep, but it could also be so much more than that. Taking an extra 20 minutes every day to just get outside and enjoy nature. Taking time at the end of the day to read a good book or even watch a great show that has you unwind and settle in and celebrate your day. Whatever it is for you, I want you to honor it, I want you to practice it, and I want you to be impeccable with it and know that it's okay in the beginning. If you're in kind of a trial and error process of trying to figure this out. You knowing one to three things that absolutely every day are sacred to you, that you do that take care of you, gives you so much wellness mentally, emotionally, and just in general. Step four is knowing and owning that your best is and always has been enough. What I mean by that is we do. We do the best we can with the tools that we have. We do the best we can with the level of awareness that we're at, right? And other people being upset or not or getting a certain result in your life. That's not the metric to determine whether or not you did your best. The metric I want you to consider for optimal mental and emotional wellness is knowing that you went for it, you risked it, you did your best. And sometimes your best in one moment isn't what you want to try again. But that's okay. It's all learning and growing and your best in the moment was enough. And then keep committing to being your best, not just doing your best, but to being your best. And you are absolutely on the way to more wellness. And finally, I want to talk about feeling. Step five is to let yourself feel and then from there to use your voice. Mental wellness is absolutely determined by emotional wellness. And there's a big difference between how we're feeling about what's happening outside of us and the emotions that we need to let ourselves feel. Consider that you feeling and getting vulnerable and letting yourself feel it will give you so much more life back and it will give you more peace than you can possibly imagine. And just start with paying attention to what emotion do I need to feel here? Is it anger? Is it fear? Is it grief? Is it joy? Is it excitement? Try to let yourself feel, boil down the emotion you need to feel beyond all of these feelings that you're having and don't think it'll make it worse because it won't. All the stuck and buried emotions that you need to feel, they're already running your life. So let them out so that you can be experiencing life with even more wellness and then take it a step further and talk. Talk about how you're feeling. Talk about what you're needing. Talk about what you're wanting. Yes, please risk. Go there. And when you do these five things radical responsibility, remembering that you're at choice, practicing impeccable self care, knowing that your best is enough and letting yourself feel and using your voice you will become so much more. Well that ultimately you'll become someone that can't be threatened and thrives in the face of anything and everything. And that's your right and that's what you deserve.
