Bust Through The Stories That Hold Us Back From Fully Living!

Rebeccah Silence and Willow Bradner talk about healing the stories that keep you stuck, stepping past fear and self-doubt, and learning to trust your gut. They share their own experiences with cancer and crisis, then walk through concrete ways to strengthen your inner voice and build the support you need to actually live.
Possible experience. I'm your host, Rebecca Silence. And today we are talking about coming alive, coming to life, coming into the best of ourselves, because the world is divided. We are at war. We are so separate from the highest versions of ourselves, more than we even realize. And there is so much we can be doing about this. This show is here to bring you on a journey of hope and healing and possibility today. Buckle up. It is going to get real. It is going to get spicy, because we need to be more alive so that we can be more in leadership, so that we can be healed, making the difference we want to make in our lifetime. And if you are here, you are a leader. And if you are here, we need more of you. And I have brought in the big guns today. I have got accidental psychic and a dear, dear friend of mine. When I think of Fierce, I think of Willow Bradner. And not only is Willow leading in her gifts and her talents in serving humanity, even with a very fresh cancer diagnosis and cancer journey that she is beating like a boss, she. She isn't letting circumstances, labels, diagnoses define her ability to lead and serve. And that's one of the things I love about her most. And we have a lot to say, coming alive before crisis hits to force our hand. And that's what we're going to talk about today. It's also International Women's Day, which I think is really special. Women are so equipped to lead, and we're going to talk about how to honor ourselves as women and how to lead and how to come alive today. And this is also for the men that love and support women and get that we could all be doing more to be better for humanity. So, Willow, hi. Welcome to the healing is possible experience. It's great to have you back. It's an honor to have you in my life, and it's just such a gift to have you in the world and on the planet.
Thank you. I am so happy to be alive and on the planet at this moment in time. And even with the kerfunkels that are happening, even with the ripple effects that are happening in the world, I feel like every moment that all of us are here right now, that we have survived a pandemic, that some of us are actually surviving war and just even the witnessing of this big, giant thing that's happening in Ukraine, for me, I guess my spectrum, my vision, my ability to see doesn't go to the negative of, like, we're not going to make it. The world is going down and everything sucks. Rather, there's Something inside of me that really clicks alive in these moments and says, holy fuck. So we're only here for a minute and what are we going to do with it? What are we going to do with it? So that's where I feel so aligned to you, Rebecca, in your mission and what you're about. And really serving and helping both of our communities together to understand that these hardships aren't hard, they're opportunities. And what we do in these timeframes and what we do with the responsibility that we have to serve in these timeframes is really what these moments are about.
I love that. And it is such an honor and privilege to be joining forces with you. We are today talking about it is time to come alive as fuck. Right? Because what else is there to do besides being fully alive and fully connected to the best of ourselves and the most capable and the wisest parts of ourselves? What else is there to do? We are going to, we are going to do a live workshop in Denver in April. But today, you know, we are going to give you the best we have got to, you know, as two women with two voices and two missions that do align. And I think, you know, now is not the time to just be focused on our individual worlds and lives. It is the time to connect and collaborate and join forces. And why, like, why didn't the pandemic become the wake up call for us to take better care of each other now? Now we're at war. We're still in a pandemic.
Ok, so from a psychic perspective, Rebecca, it's so interesting. This shows up all the time and I definitely equate it even to my own cancer situation. But it's one of those things where our intuition is always talking at us. Our intuition globally as a collective has been talking at us to combine efforts to consider one another, to get off the me wagon and get into the, and the I wagon and into the wee wagon, right? So these are big, giant things that really help us to understand that we are not alone and that it isn't us, we, them, and not just an I and a me in this situation. And I feel like while the pandemic was sort of part one of that, it knocked a lot of dirt and dust off shelves. It really awoke fears and doubts and oh my God, are they going to take my money? Are they going to take my job? Are they going to take away my freedoms? It knocked all those fears off the shelf. War is just next level of that fear. Right? But it also looks at the scarcity of Time on planet. And to me, that's sort of the next we level is like when we start to notice that life is futile, that it is short, that it is rare and scarce and actually needs to be held so deeply, we start to actually create a different level of abundance. So in scarcity, sometimes when we're squeezed into scarcity, we start seeing abundance. There is this beautiful TikTok Ukrainian girl right now who is posting every day the wreckage of her country, but she puts it with Disney music in the background, and she goes, do you want to come see with me the new redecoration that Putin has put on our country? And isn't it remarkable? We never knew we needed these hospitals remodeled, but look at how the bombs just totally ripped through and made us a whole new hospital. And yeah, it's a negative, but it's a positive. Like, she's showing us Ukraine in this way that is like not choosing to buy into the negative, not choosing to buy into the fear. She's walking us through the rubble and through the terrible, but somehow putting light on it.
Well, that's what I was the we.
Experience and not the dismal victim mentality that we've all been sort of living with for the last few years.
Well, and when you were talking, I was. I was hearing you say, she's really leading and putting a flashlight on the dark and the light. Like, there, there. There is fear and there is possibility. There is fear and there is love. There is dark and there is light, and it's nobody. That's really important. I' suggesting that, you know, anybody is. Is at fault. I'm just saying what's possible now in our leadership and what are we waiting for? I'm really passionate about this. What are we waiting for to come fully alive? You know, I literally had a woman in a Discovery call a couple weeks ago saying to me, you know, Rebecca, these. These issues in my marriage, these issues with my sobriety, these issues with my money. It's just not too painful.
Right?
I'm sure I'll be back in touch. It's just not painful enough yet. And so I'm going to be this intense, very passionate stand of what are we waiting for?
Right. I agree with what are you waiting for? I couldn't. I screamed from the rooftops the same story, sister. Like, I legitimately do not understand. And what I see is, and this is where I feel like your work is so important, is these lines of doubt that have been sewed inside of us, these lines of inner criticism that have been sewed Inside of us, these lines of fear that have been sewed inside of us have got to be fucking healed stat.
Okay?
Like, if that inner critic is running the fucking bus here.
Get off the bus.
If the doubt is running your bus, get off the fucking bus. If fear is driving this thing, get out. Stop. Because the truth of it is, is all of those voices inside of your head that say, you're not good enough. You shouldn't do this. There's no way you're going to make money. There's no way people are going to listen to you. All of those voices combined, if those are the ones that you're listening to, then you're actually not honoring your truth or yourself for your mission. You're not going to live up to freedom. You're not going to live up to fun. You're not going to live up to abundance. If you are letting those be the leaders of your life.
Yeah.
And instead, you are going to end up sick. You are going to end up disappointed. You are going to end up not having fully seen your life from a glass half full. But always in resentment, always in regret. Always looking back and wishing and shoulda, coulda, woulding all over yourself. It's getting off the bus of doubt and fear and inner critic that are going to make the change in your life. It's signing up for somebody like Rebecca who's going to lead you out of those trauma lines and into your life.
Yeah. Well. And I love that you're talking about it like this, Willow, because if you are, you know, run by an inner critic, fear, doubt, insecurities, whatever it is for you, regrets, disappointments, these are buses that you can get off that don't actually define you. They don't know you bitches. They don't own you. But they're not. They're not actually you. And how do you know what's actually you? Right. Willow's talking about how we. We've got intuition, and I want you to speak more to that here in a moment. But, you know, the fear doesn't define us until we identify as it. And that's the problem. We think the inner critic is telling us the truth. Right. And it's not. If anything feels bad, it's not real or true for you, it's simple. So the fears, the doubts, the insecurities, I think they're actually a sign that you care a lot. Right. But risk it anyway. Risk being seen. Bloody, messy, sweaty tears, vulnerable. You know, risk going for it so that you know you did.
Yeah.
And if you're Here you're a leader, period. And a story or your vibe would not have been attracted to Willow and my vibe. Right? And we work with leaders. That's the point. Like, let's work with you to help you heal emotionally so that you can go do what you want to do with your life while you still have time. Because we just don't know. Yeah, right.
We just don't know. And that's. I mean, I think that for both Rebecca and I, having experienced the cancer, we both met death at its door. We both met time. And all death is bitches is just time. It's just a timeline, okay? Like one day we are not going to be here. And again, you don't want to be with your hand on that door of death, looking backwards, wishing you did something different. And the thing is, the inner voice, the other voice, the voice that we haven't spoken about, that intuitive voice, is the one that says more, is the one that says different, is the one that says, I wish I could or I want to. It's real simple language. And it's the one that as soon as we say I, I want to own my own business or I want to write a book, or I want to change my career or I want to find love. That voice that says I want is often met with ego. And the ego's the critic, the ego's the doubt, the ego's the fear. And the ego's full time job is to make sure you don't change your ego's full time job. It's like the parent that shows up at the party just when the party gets good. The ego is the parent that shows up at the party and cancels the fucking party. Right? But your intuition is the party. Your intuition is the part of you that's like, yes, I'm having the most fun and I never want to leave this moment. So you have to understand what is the parent and what is the party here? And for you, that intuitive voice isn't lying to you. But I want to say clearly too. Yes, just because your intuition says you want to start your own business or you want to write a book or you want to do something really big, doesn't mean that it doesn't come without work or challenges or experiences that might push you past limits that you didn't know you had, you're still going to have to face some stuff. It's going to be in a higher level of alignment. There's going to be a lot of flow there, but it's still challenging. And that's what ego doesn't want you to face. Ego doesn't want you to face those challenges. It doesn't want you to feel hard things so it'll make other hard things for you instead.
I love this. And I think underneath all of the fear and everything we're talking about, it's just different flavors of fear. You're either leading, fully expressed and free, regardless of reactions, regardless of circumstances, or somehow some way fear is in front. We need the fears to help us course correct and get really honest about what's important to us and who we want to be. But they don't have to win. And what I was hearing as you were talking, Willow, is, you know, we are in this cancel culture, but let's not cancel our own voices and our own capacity to lead and make a difference in the world, starting with our families, first with ourselves, then with our families, then with our workplaces, then in our communities, then in our states, then in our countries, then on a global level. And I don't want you to get overwhelmed. I'm not saying that you have to or are obligated to do anything. I'm just saying that your ripple, Willow started talking about our ripple, you know, is so much bigger than you can ever, ever, ever comprehend. There are people watching you and following you and inspired by you. I don't care who you are, that you're never going to know. And we, we can't, we can't need validation that it's safe, that it's acceptable, that we are, you know, on the right track outside of ourselves. Our intuition, this is what we will. Guide us. I have a four step process to connect to your inner guidance. And I want to know, you know, what Willow has for us on this as well. But for me, it just starts with an absolute commitment to knowing it is there for me and available to me and bigger than me. My inner guidance isn't me and my ego. And when I think of ego, I think about our survival personality that we created to survive our traumas. And we need the best of us, not our survival personalities, trying to stay in survival more than ever in the world. So it starts with just a knowing it is there. And then I listen for it. What is the yes? What is the next right step for me? Then follow it, trust it and celebrate it before you have any evidence it makes any sense. I quit chemotherapy. I swear that is why I am still alive. That was my inner guidance coming up with this. Healing is possible. Mission and movement and all the iterations, the coming back to life book that I have coming out in October. This was all inner guidance, right? And you have to listen for it, follow it, trust it, and celebrate it before you know it's going to work out. That's the key. What. What tips do you have, Willow, on following and connecting to your inner guidance?
When.
So I do have a masterclass and you guys can go to my website. It's a free masterclass on my website to understand and activate your own intuition. So if there's any curiosity or you just want to have a good time, it's an hour long. It's amazing. But when you say follow it, what I say is honor that inner voice. So I just shifted a little bit because sometimes intuition can sound like a big idea. But I actually really look at intuition, especially as we're beginning, especially as we're starting out as breakfast. What do you want for breakfast? That's where I start. Intuition is, what do I want for breakfast? And if it has been every day you've reached for this same oatmeal or the same situation, have you paused long enough to ask what you actually want? And then if your inner voice says eggs Benedict, and you're like, well, I don't have time for that, that was the first time you didn't listen to your intuition that day, Right? And maybe you don't have time for eggs Benedict, but it's really important that you say, okay, tomorrow I'm going to make sure that I wake up early and I get myself eggs Benedict. Because my spirit is really calling for something special for myself and to care and honor that aspect of myself that's needing something rich, delightful, something that feels abundant in my belly. I am going to go out of my way to make sure that I honor that voice in me. Instead of say, as I often do, about my intuition, I don't have time. Or that feels outlandish. Because the thing is, is if we can baby step our way into honoring that voice, if we can baby step and just build those muscles, because the way that Rebecca is saying it is totally true. But that is the CrossFit version. That is when you have been at CrossFit and you have been going every single day for a year. And you can do the punch list items at CrossFit. My version is like what I call the slow old version, which is just baby stepping, because I think that so often we're getting intuitive hits really regularly, really small intuitive hits telling us how to go, which direction to turn the car to go to school in the morning, or what restaurant to Eat at for lunch. We have really small hits, and when we honor those, we actually build up that muscle so we can go to CrossFit of Intuition. Yeah.
Yeah, I love that. I think that's hysterical. I did my hundredth ride this morning on Peloton, my century ride. After, you know, literally a year and a half ago, I still had so much pain in my leg. There's no way. So much pain in my spine from nerve damage from chemotherapy that there's no way I would have been able to ride the bike. So I do really appreciate what Willow is saying. Meet yourself where you are. The dark and the light are both so important. We heal and regenerate and sleep and refresh in the dark. It is not bad or wrong. It is. It's real. And it takes us into possibility if we'll let it. We just can't freeze and be stuck and let the fear take over in the dark. And I say all the time, there's no right way or wrong way to live. There's no right way or wrong way to heal. There's no right way or wrong way to lead. It's just what works for you. And to be fully alive, I think it's critical to be in that inquiry around what does work for me and are my actions aligned with that and am I being intentional about that?
Yeah.
Well, and what I want to say too, about that intentionality and even the what stops us. What I notice a lot with my clientele is we are so good at visualizing. We are so good at knowing what we want. And that big giant picture feels really scary. And so again, just looking at the intuition piece is like, how do we eat an elephant? It's one bite at a time. And so it's taking those tiny intentional steps towards the goal, towards the idea. And I want to be really clear that sometimes what offends our system, sometimes what cockblocks us from really moving forward with our ideas, with our visions, with our plans, is that overwhelm piece can cockblock us. And if we can just come back and really understand two things. One, there's no such thing as overnight success. There's no such thing as overnight success. So for those of you who have a massive fear that this thing could take off and be something really big tomorrow, it won't.
It won't.
That's good. Sorry.
It just won't.
And then for those of you who are afraid that it is going to be a failure, there's no such thing as overnight success. And so it won't fail. Because here's the thing about business that needs to be understood and here's the thing about goals and dreams that need to be understood is that there is a big picture out here and it looks like this to get there. And so what feels like fail at times is actually reorganization. It's changing the direction, it's changing the vibration. It's coming to Jesus with the language that you've written or the idea that you had and just changing the dial a little bit. It's not fail, it's reconfiguration. And so those are the two things I feel like so many people cockblock when they're on the way to greatness is that they stop and they go, oh, fuck, this could work. And oh fuck, I could fail. And what if the oh fuck can be there? But you just have to remember to keep taking a step up every single day in honor of the big picture versus assuming that the big picture shows up like that, because it doesn't.
Well, and I do think it is about just that next step, that next step, that next step. And that's what I'm suggesting that we can be listening for and following and trusting and celebrating before the evidence. And I do want to speak to self talk because, you know, you don't have to believe every thought that comes in your head. And you can start to turn the volume down on the thoughts and the beliefs and the fears that are very loud or even maybe just whispering that aren't necessarily true for you or gospel. They're just there. I look at it as a test in your commitment, right? Like you can be committed when it's easy. But I think this time in history we're in now is a time in history where, you know, again, I'm not saying that there's a right way for you to lead. I've got shout out to Michelle. Classic. A leader, friend and former client of mine that's just been going on Etsy every day and ordering something from Ukrainian artists so that they get some money in their account. They're not going to send her the products, but they're getting some friends shout out to my friend Ken Streeter that's just booking Airbnbs, right? Because these, these entrepreneurs and these human beings need support. So, like, are we just, even if it's just one thing this week, are we caring? Are we paying attention? Are we being someone who's doing something to make a difference?
And that goes back to that little small intentionality is like as you are asking what you might do in service of this moment in service of this time frame. Some people get overwhelmed because, again, they don't have a million dollars or they don't have the time to go volunteer or they feel like they just don't know which organization to do or what to do. I really do believe that we do just hand on heart, go back to self and just say what would be of greatest service for me today? Do I talk about the thing that's going on? Do I share some of the resources that I found? It can be baby steps. It can be literally opening the door for somebody at the post office with too many packages in their hands. It doesn't have to be Airbnb. It doesn't have to be this giant move or this small move. It can be so simple and so kind and just. Generous of spirit and soul is leadership. It doesn't have to be like what Rebecca and I are doing. And I just want to speak to that, too. Is that inner critic or that fear voice? I just had two back to back really big events, and it drains my battery. And I want to speak to the draining of the battery because those of you who are still in healing, those of you who have gone through catastrophic events in the last two years, whether it be loss of life, of a loved one, or perhaps you too are suffering with illness, or if you are still in that recovery, your battery operating system might be a little futile. It might be bouncing a little bit. What I notice right now is that after two big events, my battery operating system is really low. What that means is the negative voice has a real opportunity to be higher, louder. So what I do is I align myself with my cheerleaders, and I'd love for each of you guys to really think about who your cheerleaders are in your life, whether it be a family member or a friend, somebody who always sees the greatness in you, the person who sees your higher self, who sees your intuitive self, who sees your greatness. Find the one to three people that are those people for you. So when you want to do big things or small things, you can tell them, and they will wave their magic wand and tell you you did great. So when that negative voice is pounding at the door, when that fear is pounding at the door and the doubt is pounding at the door, you have those three cheerleaders that you can call and say, hey, girl or boy I can't see around my darkness or around my shadow. Would you mind holding my hand through this and reminding me who I am and what I'm here to do?
Yeah, I Mean, I think support is key. Being intentional, right? And. And I think you can't be alive as fuck intentional about what is true for you without following your intuition. So I've got, for today's purposes, intention and intuition as the same, right? Being intentional about your willingness and commitment to following your intuition and then supported and then you can lead your way. And of course, the miracles talks about there's no hierarchy of miracles. There's no bigger or smaller miracles. There's no, you know, there's no small way to serve. It all ripples out infinitely. And are we just paying attention so that again, we know we could. I have a nice, amazing person on my support team, Heather Steele. She's mentored me, she's trained me, she's guided me. And, you know, she had said to me, if you've got a vision, it's your responsibility to bring it to life 15 years ago. And I think if you are clear, like Willow is implying about that big picture, amazing. Just one tiny step at a time. If you're not clear, but you do know there's more for you, just what's the next thing? Intention, support, lead in that it's enough. Let's just not wait. Let's just not hesitate. Let's just not stop our commitment to living fully or being our best in its tracks because something got hard or because someone might, you know, criticize us, or someone might misunderstand us, or someone might try to cancel us. Let's turn it up.
Yeah. And to that note, I just want to stop and pause here and say again, Rebecca and I have this amazing event planned for y', all, April 23rd, and it is going to be the two of us amplifying you. So if you are listening to this and you are feeling like, yes, how yes, I want, yes, I need more, then sign up for this event, April 23rd. We're going to drop the link as soon as this live is over so that you guys can get tickets for it. But it's really like that is the support piece. We're here to support you. We're here to help amplify you. We're here to illuminate your path for you. If you still are on the impetus precipice and unclear about that big picture, that's what I'm here for. I will help you see it with my psychic eyes and I will help put my stamp of approval on it and show you how to get there. And Rebecca is here. If you're feeling so stuck or you're feeling like there's parts of you that aren't able to move in that forward direction. Rebecca is here to really amplify and illuminate that path forward in terms of how to unravel some of those old wounds and some of those old pieces of you. So together you're getting visual and you're getting healing simultaneously all in one little location. So we really invite you guys to explore this upcoming event. And Rebecca, I'll have you sort of speak to your hope to bring to this space as well.
Yeah, and I'm so glad that you're pausing and talking about our event. It's called Alive af. It's at this gorgeous, gorgeous facility called Nurture in Denver. And we will be giving you four hours of our best. There will be like minded people, a built in support, support system as well as a roadmap to support you in becoming a live af. We're going to offer some curriculum and then I'll be facilitating emotional breakthrough work, meaning let's get you emotionally free and clear and grounded and solid in who you really are so that you go out there into the world rooted in that who you really are. And I'll be doing breakthrough work with people that are volunteers and ready and wanting it that that offers healing for everyone there. And then Willow will be doing following her intuition readings and guidance. And it's not that her work, in my opinion, will validate you from from her validating you. It'll be her helping you validate you and me helping you live and lead in emotionally being free no matter what. And from there, everyone at this event, we're giving you four hours at a fraction of our private rates so that you can get more alive and go do what you want with that. So there will be a roadmap to healing and living. There will be vision, planning and there will be partner work and individual support to help you go serve the world. And we want your soul on fire and we want you flying and thriving and fully living. Because why not you go be who it takes to get there and you have no idea what that ripple does and how it impacts and how it motivates and inspires every life that you come into contact with directly and indirectly.
Amen.
What she said, you know, and it's time. And I think another really important thing to say, I mean offline, Willow and I are super close and super connected and we talk about, we just don't want it to be as hard for people as it was for us. I mean both of us have had some, some pretty ruthless moments and experiences. And it doesn't have to be this hard. I think about it for me, like, all right, I have this sword in my back and this one and multiple swords in my back that because of my history and experience, I can pull out and I can go to battle with you. And there's pretty much no dark I'm afraid of at this point. Like, bring it. Bring the craziest case to me and let's go. Let's unpack the dark and access the light. And you decide what you're going to do and who you're going to be from there. But, you know, we don't want it as hard for you. So if in four hours we can give you what it took us years to design and cultivate and live and become like, let's do it. Four hours, April 23, at Nurture. And yeah, we're promoting this and pitching this and selling it because it's so good. And we don't want you to miss out. Join us.
How does that land you guys? How does that feel? How would it feel to just be surrounded by kindred spirits? How would it feel to be seen, experienced, and really heard? And how would it feel to have somebody examine your story, your wishes, your dreams, and remind you that you're right, remind you that your intuition is on cue, on spot on time, and to give you some of those tools that you might need moving forward so that you can have that aligned momentum and really understand and value what you're coming to the table with. I think sometimes our secrets and our desires and our wishes are held so close to the heart that we need to show them off. We need to let them sparkle in front of other people. We need to hear from our other compadres that we are on the right path. And that is what this is. This will give you that opportunity to really sparkle, to really shine for yourself and to really understand what it is to be fully alive for yourself, for your family, for your future. So we so look forward to y'. All. And if there's any questions, curiosities, concerns, even about being in public, please let us know. Drop any of your questions or curiosities in the comment section. We would love to hear from you. We would love to hear how you felt about this live today as well. And if anything, just really sparked out and just inspired you. We'd love to hear from you.
Yeah. And I also just want to say that the world doesn't need to get it and validate it, whatever it is for you. And then it's okay. For you to pursue it. You get it. I think about Mirabelle and Encanto feeling like she's not gifted, feeling like an outsider. And how many of us that are leading our lives in possibility, our way have felt that way before? It wasn't that the family needed to see her. She needed to see her and trust herself and go for it. And then she saves the family in the town. Right? And we all have our unique and special gifts and talents and ways of being that make a positive, beautiful difference in the world. And I'm just asking, and Will is just asking, that we turn up the volume on our goodness now, because the world needs that. The world needs more people risking it and brave and courageous and turning up the volume on the best of who we are right now, especially right now. We're at war. We are in a pandemic. We are in a world where a lot of people are stuck and suffering in the dark. And it does matter. If you're thinking, what difference could I really make? A big one. My first mentor, Carol Reynolds, used to have us read the starfish story at the end of her seminar called Vision. If you haven't read the starfish story, Google it. But the point is, this child and a grandparent are walking on the beach and there's all these starfish, and the child is throwing starfish into the ocean, and the grandparent says, why are you doing that? There's too many. It's not going to make a difference. And the child says, it made a difference to that one. Just do your best with what's in front of you. Turn up the volume on your goodness. We need it.
And we can be the change makers. Happy International Women's Day. Please. Pass it. Ladies, please high five each other. Remind each other in bathrooms if you should see each other how beautiful we are. Make sure that you're complimenting a sister out there and raising your vibrations for another. Because it's on each other that we will climb the ladder. It's with and because we lift each other up, that we will climb the ladder and break every glass ceiling and every bit off that. That ceiling that there is left to break. And as we celebrate International Women's Day, I want to also just. Just do a shout out to our trans community as well that identifies as she or her, because we see you also and we welcome you into our tribe. Thank you so much.
