They discuss self-awareness, handling friend drama amplified by alcohol, techniques for observing oneself from a third-person/observer perspective (inspired by Neale Donald Walsch’s three “truths”: imagined, observed, ultimate), and practical coaching offerings (weekly coaching circle). The segment includes concrete details about the coaching circle and local contact information.

It is a confession. Tuesday, local life coach Rebecca silence is in studio. Inspired results coach.com coaching circle tonight.
Yes, we have coaching circles from seven to eight every Tuesday. It's just group work. $15. And the address is 156 Main street in Whitesboro. We would love to have you.
Absolutely. Again, details inspiredresultscoach.com also like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter as well. This past weekend, St. Patty's weekend, lots of adult beverages, lots of drama that can come as part of the, you know, being out with friends and guy friends and girlfriends and you mix in some alcohol and all of a sudden there's drama everywhere. So I want to talk about, like, that kind of drama.
Okay.
Because I guarantee there is that kind of stuff going around in circles of friends all over the place if you have that kind of drama. And, and it's spurred. Maybe not spurred, but the, the fact that a couple adult cocktails were the straw that broke the camel's back, if you will. Or maybe the liquid courage to actually say something to somebody. What's the best way to kind of like, handle that kind of stuff?
Yeah, I mean, first of all, I think it's important to really pay attention to why you're drinking or using substances when that's happening. Like, what's going on inside of you? What's the need? Are you trying to escape? Are you trying to cope? Are you angry? Are you celebrating? You know, I think one thing that can be really dangerous is people just drinking on autopilot, right. And not paying attention. Also, you know, I have so many people that I've worked with in inspired results that have done 30 day cleanses from all substances. And it's amazing what happens. You either find out that, oh, I have a problem, I can't do 30 days. Maybe I need some help. Or you get really clear and you get really inspired, realize that you don't need it. It's like me with coffee. I gave up coffee last year for a week and I don't drink it anymore. I just didn't need it.
I think you're going. I think you're going way, like you're delving a lot deeper than my question was kind of with mine is just like on the surface, okay? They, you know, like friend drama.
But there's never on the surface. It's always deeper than on the surface, okay? So the thing that I'm wanting to do with people is get right to the root issues.
Okay?
So number one, you just look at what you're doing. Why am I Drinking, what's going on with me then you can look at what happens with me when I'm drinking. Am I proud of the way that I show up? Am I extra affectionate? Am I extra cry girl? Am I extra mean guy? What happens with me? Do you know yourself? Well, you know, you and I were just talking off the air about how you know yourself when you're playing out, when you're working. You know yourself, you know your body. A lot of people don't. A lot of people don't pay attention to these things. So, sure, we can talk about surface y stuff, but how's that going to impact change, okay. In anyone's life? So I'm just suggesting look at why you're drinking when you are. And then do you even know what happens to you when you drink? You know what happens to you after two drinks, after three drinks, after four drinks? I do not touch Jagermeister because I know what happens to me when I do.
Oh, you're not, you're not.
I'm not touching that stuff ever again. I haven't touched it in probably 12 years. And I won't now.
Now I'm. Now I have to ask what happens to Rebecca? Silence when, when mixed with Jaeger.
Well, things that I don't want to repeat.
All of a sudden, all of a sudden she got. Got that like, like Bruce Banner, Incredible Hulk.
Not good stuff. I just don't drink it.
No. And, and, but that's fantastic that you know yourself because of that.
Absolutely.
And that's. And with anyone, if you can be self aware and realize yourself and almost like look at yourself from a third person, I think that's such a huge thing. Whether it be with, you know, whether it be with alcohol, whether it be with, you know, in a, you know, boy, girl relationship, whether being your work, being able to step outside of yourself and look in really can help you on all levels.
Right. And I think there's a big lie that the alcohol is going to help you feel. It actually numbs you.
Yeah.
Not to mention the fact that it's a depressant. So the moment, the fun moment or the high is eventually going to end and you're going to have to deal with the consequences of the choices you made. So if you can be really clear going into the situation about what works for you, what doesn't, then you can be in charge. You can be in charge of the situation instead of letting the situation be in charge of you. And if you're ever around people that are escalating because of Drinking. And then you always have a choice. And it's never your job to try to save someone who doesn't want to be saved.
Right.
That's the other thing that can happen in this situation. Somebody becomes the superhero and ends up getting annihilated.
So let me ask you. Let me ask you this. We were talking about, like, you know, taking a step. I don't want to say step outside of you, but looking in. Is there a good homework to kind of force people to look at themselves from a third person?
I love that you're picking up on that. So one of my favorite authors is Neale Donald Walsh. And he talks about how there's three types of truths that we can live in, and the first one is the imagined truth. So anytime you're feeling triggered or anytime you're feeling upset of any kind, he's going to suggest that it's something from the past that is reminding you right now. You're actually in the past being reminded of something that isn't happening.
Right.
So he goes it an imagined truth that feels bad. The next level of consciousness is what he calls the observed truth, which is what you're talking about, where he calls it bearing witness. I call it become the observer. And what I'm thinking about whenever I think about this is the City of Angels movie, where the angels are kind of outside looking in, watching. And we can actually do that with ourselves.
Yeah, the. The actor on that, I was Nicholas Cage. Yeah. He's creepy. His eyes are so creepy in that movie. I watched it like twice. And just the way he looks it, he just looks so his eyes are just. Yeah, but I understand what you're saying.
The Cage gets intense in City of Angels, but he watches what's happening from the outside.
Right.
And that's what I'm talking about. You can actually do that with yourself. Like, if I was noticing myself from the outside looking in, what would I see? What would I notice about myself? That I'm feeling needy, that I'm tired, that I'm lonely, that I'm hungry. What would you notice? And that's just good information to have. So the imagined truth feels bad. The observed truth actually feels neutral. And that's a higher level of consciousness where it's not good, it's not bad, it just is what is.
It just is what it is.
Yep. And that's a really important place to look at. And then finally, the higher level of consciousness that's harder for people to get to is being present right here, right now. And he calls that the ultimate truth. But a great first step is to just notice, just be the observer looking at yourself from the outside and pay attention to what are the patterns because if you don't get in charge of your patterns they continue to snowball, right. They're not going to change. So if you're wanting to get in charge, get in leadership and knock those patterns in a new direction, then you have to be able to know what's happening with you.
