Now we're here. French Road till 10 o'. Clock. Now it's Tuesday, and it's about that time for confession. Tuesday. Local life coach Rebecca Silence here. Traveling on the road with us. We definitely appreciate that. Good morning. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.
I'm glad it's always fun when we do stuff like this.
Oh, I love it. Absolutely. So, of course, inspired results. Coach.com and I wanted to bring this up because today is International Women's Day.
Yes.
And I know that a lot of businesses and organizations ask you to come and speak on a bunch of different topics, whether it be problems in the workplace, workplace drama, if you will, and how to alleviate communicating and whatnot. But a lot of people, and I consider you an amazing woman, being able to balance the career and starting your own business and having that business flourish. But also, and I'm not even talking about the cancer thing, you know that. Just take the cancer thing off the table, for crying out.
Seriously.
But I mean, just between starting the business, having the business flourish and grow and grow and grow, but also having a family and just having a child and the delicate balance that goes there. I want to talk about that because I think that it's really important to show a spotlight because it's not easy. And being able to do it, a lot of times it's overwhelming for women and for men, for crying out loud. But just being able to kind of do it and do it in a way where it's, you know, I don't want to say it seems easy, but do it in a way where you're not like a chicken with your head cut off all the time because. Because that it. A lot of times people get into a panic and, you know, that ends up what happens. So I would love for you to talk about that today.
Yeah. So happy International Women's Day to everyone. And you know, all the women out there, whatever you're doing right now, just take a breath and I invite you to celebrate who you are. You are amaz, you are resourceful, and you're doing it, whatever it is that you're doing, and you're doing it well.
But what I know, like LL Cool J.
Yes.
There you go, ladies. Love Cool. James and Rebecca. Silence.
There you go. But women absolutely can have it all. And I want everyone to know that no matter what your age, if you are a female, listen up. You can have anything. You can have all of it. And you don't have to sacrifice or compromise or choose. I want Everyone out there to get that. Women can have it all. And there is a way to do it with grace, where you're not running around like a chicken with your head cut off. But I think the first thing is to be really clear about what you want instead of doing what you think you're supposed to do all the time. I think that that's a rut that women can get into very easily. What am I supposed to be doing? Am I doing what I'm supposed to do? And then what I'm inviting everyone to consider is that when you're doing things out of obligation, you're going to get resent, you're going to suffer, and you'll be miserable.
Okay, so what is. What is the line of what you. You know, what you want to be doing and what you should be doing? Like, where's. Where's that?
So what if there is no what goes the line? Okay, I'm gonna suggest there is no what you should be doing. And then I'm not saying that you should let yourself off the hook and not pay the bills and not go to work. It's just.
Yeah, those are. Those are shoulds you can't avoid.
Yeah, you kind of gotta. Do you want to, right? Don't do it because you should. That's what I'm suggesting. Whatever you do, do it because you want to, because you see the benefit of that choice. Everything we do has a ripple effect. So that ripple effect can be negative. Like when you're skipping a rock in the lake, there is a ripple. So the ripple can be negative or it can be positive, but there is an impact to every decision that you make, everything that you say. So whatever you're doing, I'm suggesting that you be kind of stand for it, that you get behind it and do it because you want to, not because you should. And if there's something that you feel like you should do and it's obligation, delegate it out, make sure it gets done. But you can have it all. And I think part of that is not only getting out of obligation, but also really figuring out what lights you up. I think the best gift that women can give themselves is making sure that on a daily basis they are fulfilled, they are solid, and they are happy. And that's your responsibility, because nobody can do that for you. One of the things that I know is a lot of women don't actually know what lights them up.
That was my question. Because, you know, if you were to ask most people what lights them up or what gets you excited, like can you give some examples of what that is? Because there may be people listening right now that are like, I, I want to feel what, what she's talking about, but I don't, I don't know how to get it.
So you can time travel back to when you were younger. What were the things that you really enjoyed? Did you enjoy music? Did you enjoy art? Did you enjoy running? Did you enjoy nature? Did you enjoy writing? What are the things that really make you feel fulfilled and solid? For those of you that just have no idea, start guessing. Put yourself on a process. For one month, every day, try something new and then see what it is.
But I don't have time to try something new. I have to do this and then I have to do this and then I have to do this and then I have. Because this is, that this is, I guarantee this is going through people's mind right now.
You always have time to do whatever it is that's valuable to you. So if being in the hamster wheel is more important than figuring out what lights you up, have fun with that. But there is always time. Believe me, if I can do what I'm doing, if my client can be working full time jobs while starting businesses as entrepreneurs on the side and doing my seminars and coming to coaching every week, there's nothing that we can't do. It's just whether or not we're making it valuable enough.
We're talking to Inspired Results coach Rebecca Silence Local life coaching. Go to inspired results coach.com for all the details. You can also like Rebecca on Facebook as well. It's Rebecca Silence of Inspired Results. I want to get back to one thing you said at the very, very beginning. You addressed women and you said a bunch of different things. It was like, you're special, you're smart. Like you, like you've listed off a bunch of positive things. And I think that was one of the most powerful things because a lot of times people, women get so caught up in the day to day that they don't take a moment and just I am. Because it's always on to the next thing, onto the next thing. There's something you said for just taking that breath.
Right, Right. Are you celebrating yourself? So what I said at the beginning of the segment was to all the women, take a breath and just celebrate who you are, where you are and what you're up to in the world and then know this isn't the finish line. There's so much more for you, but you have to be the one blazing that trail. You have to be the one having goals, making them happen, and pushing yourself to get to the place that you want to be. Nobody can do that for you. So what I know is that every woman on the planet has leadership skills. We just forget that sometimes. And then what are you leading in? Are you leading in drama? Are you leading in feeling sorry for yourself? In chaos, in scarcity? Or are you leading in making your dreams come true, creating abundance for yourselves and your families? You're leading. It's just a matter of what are you leading in. And in April, the very first weekend in April, April 1st, 2nd and 3rd, I'm offering a women's leadership retreat. I originally was only going to open this up to people who have done my seminar work in the past. I've changed my mind. As I wrote this thing, it is for anyone, it is for everyone. Women who are looking for ways to balance, looking for ways to create more in their lives and wanting more leadership training. This is for you. The curriculum is everything I've learned to not only survive my past, but how to lead. Getting what I want, regardless of the circumstances that I'm in. And I want to share that with everyone. My tagline has been make the impossible possible. But now I think I might, I might actually change it to be happy in the impossible. And what if we all can? And what if there's nothing you can't have? And there are leadership tools and skills that can help you get where you want to go and be more fulfilled. So I do have a few spots left in this leadership retreat. And if you're interested, get in touch with me right away atinspired results coach.com and when is.
When's that retreat again?
April 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We rent a three story home on Lake Ontario and share the weekend together. Growing, learning and leaving things at the lake that no longer serve us.
