Confession Tuesday 8/1/17 BLASTED ON FACEBOOK

A woman was called out in a Facebook video after distancing herself from someone she saw as a player. Rebeccah Silence advises blocking the poster, reframing it publicly as empowerment, and using it to clarify what you want in relationships.
The song is called fetish on 97. I would have Kiss FM, Selena Gomez, Gucci mane. It's Big Papa and Liz. Oh, it's confession Tuesday.
Happy Tuesday.
Life coach Rebecca silence inspired results. Coach.com in studio. Good morning once again.
Good morning.
So we've been doing this for a bit, a couple, two, three weeks, where Rebecca comes in on a Tuesday and handles whatever's going on in someone's world. And we handle it not only to the best of Rebecca's ability, which she's amazing. She. I don't know how, but she handles stuff and she makes it make sense to not only the person that emailed in.
Mm.
But somehow, like, it makes sense to something that's going on in my world too.
Yep.
You know, I don't know how or why. It's just. I don't know. It's amazing. So if you would like to have a question answered by Rebecca, go ahead and hit us up. Go to cnykiss.com and of course you can message confidentially as well. You ready?
Yeah.
Okay. Dear Rebecca, a few months ago, I was chatting with this guy. After about a week of going back and forth, I realized that he was just a player. So I distanced myself, moved on, haven't thought about him since then. A couple days ago, this guy posted a video about 315's most petty quote, unquote. Now I have a ton of randoms in my inbox and there's drama circling around me. I really want my pick off that video, but at the same time, I'm afraid that if I message him, I'd be opening Pandora's box. What should I do?
This is a good one. Yeah. So she talked to a guy, realized he wasn't for her, and then got blasted on a video that she's petty.
Yeah.
Right. For all of the 315 to see and judge. Okay, so I definitely. Now, is this like a topics thing?
No. No, I don't think so.
So I definitely would invite you to give yourself credit for making a good decision. Right. And not dating this guy. Right. Like, he sounds like, you know, he's. He's not worth your time at all. You know, the other thing is, like, what would it be like to kind of have fun with this, to, like, make fun of yourself? Oh, here's a level of fame that I never thought I would reach. Block this guy. That's what I would do. I wouldn't talk to him. I would block him. I would. I would write a blog about following your gut intuition and how it's on every single time. And look how I dodged a bullet with this dude. And just, like, play it up instead of carrying shame or embarrassment. Because, first of all, I don't know who this guy thinks he is, but he isn't more powerful than you, and he doesn't have the power to make or break your reputation.
No, you're. I absolutely. I absolutely agree. But at the same time, if you recognize it and draw attention to it and bring light to it, does that keep it going? If you just want it to go.
Away, well, so maybe you don't have to, like, post it, but you could talk about it. Because the thing is, it's out there already, right? So if it's out there already, you might as well just, like, out loud. So. So I had seen a YouTube video or a Facebook video of all of these celebrities reading awful, nasty, mean tweets about somebody.
That's a Jimmy Kimmel bit.
Okay. Yeah. Well, I just saw a video and thought that's how it's done. Like, let's just call it out, play it up, and not give a crap about people who don't have enough time on their hands spending their time judging me. Right. And it isn't. I really believe this. You know, when I go into elementary schools and I am talking to kids about confidence, one of the first questions I ask them, I say, raise your hand if you think there's somebody in this crowd that you're better than or that is better than you. They all raise their hands.
Wow.
At like, five, six, seven, eight years old. Right. So they've already learned that there's a better than, and that some people are inferior and that some people are superior, and I just don't believe it. I think we're all equally, you know, worthy of being treated with respect, and then we have different gifts and talents, and. But we're all equally deserving of respect. So, you know, I just encourage people to honor who they are and be confident and hold your head up high. If it's something like topics, you can ask to have it taken down. And maybe with this, too. I don't know where the video came from, but maybe there's a way to report it.
My. My assumption is Facebook or Instagram, because there's.
You can report it, you can spam it. You can, you know, have some type of justice in that regard. You know, you don't have to just, like, ignore it and let it go. And if you don't want it posted, you don't have to post it. But you could at least do something like a blog or a Facebook post that just talks about, hey, you know, who's right for you and who's not, every single time. And here's a bullet that I dodged, you know, because you did. You made a good choice. And whether he's a player or not, he's disrespectful. So that means that, you know, he's got whatever he's got going on that you don't need in your life, but. But you don't have to feel smaller or degraded or embarrassed or ashamed about somebody else's opinion of you.
Absolutely.
Ever. Ever. And then now I would be like, so, who's the right guy for me? Do you wanna respect me? Do you wanna, like, go on these type of dates that I wanna go on? This is what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the right guy. Who are you? Where are you?
Use this as the what not to do if you get turned down.
Yeah. Use it as a platform to get closer to what you actually want with your confession.
