Rebeccah Silence on grudges in family: talk directly about what happened, or acknowledge you're pretending it didn't. You can't fix someone else's grudge against you, but check if yours is poisoning the time you spend together.
If you are going to be with people that you know have a grudge against you or that you have a grudge against, why are we even going to be getting together until that's resolved? Now, I'm not saying push or throw your family members away. I'm saying if you're the one with a grudge, let's deal with it. Either we need to have a conversation and connection and get to the bottom of a new solution that puts the past behind you, or you're pretending like you're okay when you're not, or you have walls up that actually hurt you more than the other person. Now, if someone else has a grudge against you, that's not your business, that's not your fault. There's nothing for you to do. But you can look at do you have grudges that you're holding that are already bleeding into the experience that you could be having before you even had the time with your family.
