Monday Healing Message: It's a skill to learn how to fail gracefully.

A short motivational talk by Rebecca Silence urging listeners to stop resisting failure and to "fail gracefully" as part of growth. The speaker argues failure is inevitable when pursuing meaningful dreams, reframes failures as learning signals and "emotional beauty marks," cites the "man in the arena" idea, and ends with a call-to-action to join a live coaching "hot seat" session.
Amazing. Than a fully expressed woman. And to all the women and the people that love women, I just want to start today saying thank you for honoring life. And I believe that femininity represents life. And what I am all about is helping us all get more out of our lives. So today, our Monday healing message is about learning how to fail as people. And what would life be like if we no longer resisted or ran away from our failures or the possibility of failure. We have heard it over and over again. What would you do if you knew you wouldn't fail? And I am here to say you will. You will fail. There were many years where I didn't believe in failure. It doesn't happen. We just get better. We just keep going forward. We don't fail. But we do. Our egos get put in, checked, we get leveled. We screw up, we make mistakes. We don't get where we want to go fast enough or the way we wanted to. The list goes on. We fail because we are alive and we are going for it. And we should fail. And we should fail a lot until we get where we want to go. And I don't think in my lifetime I'm ever going to get there. I'm going to keep failing and I'm going to keep growing. And that just means that I'm living now. What we do have control over in the midst of failure is number one, are we going for it? And if you're not, look in the mirror and ask yourself, honestly, why am I letting fear, fear of failure stop me from living? I'm being dramatic. But I want you to really think about it this way. Feel it on a cellular level. When we won't risk failing, we're suffocating and stifling our opportunity to live more. Now, sometimes we don't want to fail at something that we don't carry for another marriage. Going for creating an experience of family that. That you've only dreamed of. Going for that promotion, that dream job, that house, that man. This just feels like a perfect home and environment for my family. But it's too expensive. I don't know if I deserve it. I don't know if I can make it happen. Whatever it is. Continuing education, wanting to start a business. Your dreams give you more life. And in order to become the person it takes to create and arrive at those dreams and big wants, you're going to fail. So my hack for failing gracefully is to risk it. Put yourself out there, go for it, knowing you are going to fail. And then when we don't resist that we take the failure as an indicator not that we are going backwards, but that we are growing and getting closer. We are not there yet, but we are growing and using our experience to learn what didn't work so that we can arrive at what will work. You know, accept the failures as, you know, emotional beauty marks that you could decide are unsavory or you could decide are gems that make you you. Any dream that is worth having requires failure on your way to it. And so what? You are going to fail and fail a lot. And don't be afraid to let people watch you fail. Because like Brene Brown shares Teddy Roosevelt's quote. It's not the critic who counts, it's the man in the arena. So men, women, people, get in the arena, get dirty, get sweaty, get messy, get bloody. Do whatever you have to do to become the person it takes to arrive at your dream. That's the goal. Arriving at the dream, not avoiding failure. You are worth it. Make your life yours. Fail. Live. Fail. Live. Fail. Live. Rinse, wash. Repeat. It's Rebecca. Silence. That is your Monday healing message. Join me in the hot seat tomorrow. Tuesday, 10am Mountain. We have got an amazing volunteer coming in for some breakthrough coaching. You don't want to miss it. I will see you soon.
